As an immigrant I’m not worried at all. I welcome it. Many of us moved to the U.K. because of how the U.K. WAS- Stability, economy, jobs and British values / legal systems. If there are so many migrants entering the U.K. it will no longer be that stable unified nation. Plus I don’t cling onto the U.K. for dear life - if it gets to a point where some of us have to leave, isn’t that a positive for our home countries- seeing thousands of us return to rebuild our homelands??

@SCFCJosh96 Spot on, Liverpool is anti government and establishment, not anti right wing. Just because they hate the monarchy and politicians does not make them a left leaning city. I would say they are more central.

I know this is 'wool' territory (I think) but the idea Liverpool is a #decent city that will avoid what every other place is having is completely naive. Liverpool has an anti-establishment core, not an anti-rightwing one.

@linmeitalks No issues with Muslims at all when they integrate well into OUR country and values. It’s the ones with extreme ideologies who want to make the UK like the country they are from. This is not and never will be a Muslim country.

Can I be totally honest - if I were Muslim I wouldn’t live in the UK I think the most hated minority group are Muslims by the political class and white working class in Britain, where it has become mainstream to either ignore & dismiss what many of them go through or politicians actively conflate Islam / all Muslims with Islamic extremism. This doesn’t happen on the same scale to any other group of people. You do not hear politicians saying repeatedly if at all “There is a black problem in our streets” “There is a Jewish problem infiltrating our governments & media” You repeatedly hear Islam has no place in Britain , Muslims should not be politicians, politicians support marches calling for Muslims to leave. It’s crazy and I do feel extremely sorry for your average everyday Muslim in the U.K. paying taxes or going about their daily lives not causing harm to anyone which are MOST of them.

We wake up to Reform dominating British politics. As Muslims, we should be very worried about the future of Britain. We have a few years until the general election. A Reform government and Farage as PM are very depressing.
