@EggieWeggieVT People get so hung up on the opinions of others that they often stray too far from their own purpose and true character. It detracts from the pursuit of creating a space that is authentically your own. Losing out on the magic that makes an individual special is a disservice.

✿ Unsolicited Streamer Tip ✿ Stop putting so much weight into how other streamers do things to the point that it causes you genuine panic! ;A; I've seen so many posts lately of people SO nervous that they are choosing the wrong rules, banning the wrong people, choosing the wrong VIPs, ect and y'all... just do you! It's YOUR stream! YOU are the content creator! Everyone's rules are going to be different, and it's totally okay to put out feelers to see how others are doing it, but I've seen some people be STRESSED about this stuff to the point that it seems to be affecting them mentally and to that I say: Stahp it. Be confident. It's your stream, cultivate your own space! Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind ~ 🫶

@Syinsu "Make shorts that don't suck" isn't consultant level advice. It's pure generalisation and surface level common sense that anybody can spit forth.

They now swapped to being "shorts are good if you make ones that don't suck" If that was their original angle this post would have been good because I agree that it's more competitive so the approach needs to change but to scare people out of making shorts is so irresponsible but the stance swap of theirs just reads as a panic to save face

@AminaPururin I've seen some positive results just by interacting with posts by natural inclination on my breaks at work etc. It's about the purpose and authenticity of the interactions. Not just numbers for numbers sake. A process that seems lost on most, it would seem.

The reality is, have one or don't. Longer or shorter. It's about you and the community you build. Mine is 10 minutes to get notifs out and the first ads done. Chat loves to do their daily check in fight for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Engagement I fostered! Make it work for YOU! ✨️

"New" viewers will rarely see your first 10 minutes. You're being pushed for discovery most after 2 hours. It's not worth changing a start of 10 mins which accommodates you and your current viewers better over the insignificant % who could click off by being impatient. 🤷‍♀️

@HAmorata I was a weird girl because I liked games and anime or just generally different stuff to all of my peers from primary school right through to HS. Yes, mostly from other girls too. It might have been a pretty sad experience at times, but I wouldn't change who I am for the world.

I love when the kids stop by to attempt to invalidate my lived experiences. Amusingly, not only was I bullied in school for being a weird gamer, 90% of it came from the other girls in high school. But hey, the young adults of today say it never happened, so I'm sure I hallucinated all that.
