@HuckleBerry_005 The key is having the plan before the print, not reacting after the candle hits. PCE can change liquidity fast, so size, invalidation, and “no trade” rules matter more than the headline view.

Watch the PCE print (Thu June 25) more than anyone is currently talking about: Everyone's focused on $MU and bank stress tests, but the PCE/GDP combo on Thursday could matter more for the whole market's direction than any single earnings report. Warsh's Fed already signaled a more hawkish tilt than expected (9 of 18 officials now project a hike this year). A hot PCE print into that backdrop could hit growth/tech harder than people are currently positioned for, since SP500 and Nasdaq100 longs are both sitting at crowded 50% long levels. ⚠️ These are just my own observations, not financial advice — work through your own risk tolerance and position sizing before acting on any of it.

@ChrisWeston_PS Clean calendar. For futures traders, the key isn’t just knowing the event is coming, it’s adjusting size, timing, and expectations before liquidity changes around the release.

Event risk for the week ahead: Marco themes aside, US core PCE, Aussie and Canadian CPI & Micron's earnings are the headline scheduled risks to navigate. The lower pane shows Fridays closing IR swaps pricing, and the cumulative number of 25bp hikes implied per meeting.

@traderhc This is exactly where preparation matters more than prediction. Whether the print confirms or surprises, the real edge is knowing your risk before volatility reprices, not trying to react after it does.

The crowd is selling protection into the highs right before the only print that matters this week. Core PCE drops Thursday. And the variance risk premium just collapsed to the 11th percentile. Translation: you're paid almost nothing to be short vol, while recent realized tape is already running hotter than options are pricing. That's not income. That's a trap. Dealer gamma is the only thing pinning this tape. CTAs are short, buybacks are dark in blackout. A hot PCE snaps the front of the curve and the vol structure at once, and there's no cushion left underneath. Cheapest week to own downside in months and everyone's doing the opposite. Vol reclaims 20 on a surprise. Who's actually buying protection here?

@zaruww A journal becomes useful when it tracks more than entries and exits. Logging skipped trades, rule breaks, and the reason behind each decision is where the real improvement starts.

@responsiblefx Five disciplined days can teach more than one big winning day. The real test isn’t finding setups, it’s respecting the plan when boredom, frustration, or FOMO shows up.

@The_RockTrading Risk management protects the account, but emotional regulation protects the decisions behind it. Discipline is what keeps both consistent when the market gets uncomfortable.

Week ahead: May PCE lands Thursday at 7:30 AM CT. You can’t predict the print, but you can prepare: set your max daily loss, decide what you’ll skip at release, and define the signal that keeps you flat. A plan made in calm beats a choice made in chaos.

⚠️ JUNETEENTH TRADING HOURS Early close: Friday, June 19 — 1:00 PM ET Reopen: Sunday, June 21 — 6:00 PM ET Close ALL open or pending positions by 12:59 PM ET Friday. Per Rithmic, Friday's shortened session and Monday fall under the SAME trade date — so they count as one active trading day, not two. 🏦 No payouts Friday (federal bank holiday). Processing resumes Monday, June 22. Plan ahead and manage your positions carefully. — Funded Futures Network

@kathylienfx Important reminder. Holiday schedules are product-specific, so traders should confirm the exact hours for their contract rather than assume every futures market follows the same close. Thin liquidity deserves extra caution.

@1769_alex Expiration-driven volume can create opportunity, but it can also create a lot of noise. Patience, smaller size, and only taking A+ setups matter even more near the close.

Heads up guys, Quad Witching is tomorrow 06/18 instead of Friday because of the Juneteenth holiday. All the big index futures + options expiring at once = expect some crazy volume and volatility spikes, especially near the close. Could see some wild pins and gamma moves. I’m staying patient, only taking A+ setups 🫡 $SPY $SPX $QQQ

@ADMFarmServices Good reminder that holiday schedules are contract-specific. CBOT agricultural products may follow different hours than equity index, energy, or rate futures, so checking the exact product schedule matters.
