@Ephsquare @SwedishRumble Show me the tug? He has hold of it, yes, but he doesn’t tug, let alone with the force that the rules also state there needs to be, for it to be a tug his arm needs to flex, it stays the same length the whole time But it’s nice of you to brush past the other points I made

I think this is very unfortunate from Dale — the ‘establishment’ protects PGMOL and declares fans idiots. But reality is what it is and this approach just creates animosity towards refs. 1. No, there has never before been a player given a red for simply closing his hand on hair for ~0.8 second without pulling it. The PL rules say that you must pull the hair “with force”. 2. If the referee on the pitch gives it — fine. But was it ‘clear and obvious’ that he pulled it with force? Let’s pause for a bit — and look how idiotic this approach is by the “establishment”. Let’s say in United’s next game, an opponent to United ever so slightly closes his hand over hair. By this standard — absolutely zero room exists for VAR and the referee to not give a red card. Right? I’ve watched the PL since the earlier 90s. Take my word for it — if it goes 7-14 days without VAR going in another direction, I would be surprised. Simple facts are that the VAR referee wanted to ensure that a red was given in this case and it resulted in a red being given. It’s far from the worst call I’ve seen, the bar is pretty low, but it is up to the referees to explain why they made the calls they made. Describing it like they had no choice and it was automatic — is simply not correct. 3. Meanwhile, a very serious issue is swept under the rug. There are very clear indications that referees in the PL tries to impact the outcome of the competition. WAIT!? What did you just say?? Tinfoil??? But it’s not conspiracy theory. To call it that is simply absurd. Because teams in the PL de facto thinks this. Rodri said it in an earlier interview. Arsenal said it in a statement. We all simply have eyes. Nobody can convince me, for example, that Michael Oliver was not out to impact United negatively in the events leading up to and including the penalty against West Ham. 4. Facts are that whatever forces that are in play here — I very much doubt money is changing hands like in La Liga and Serie A, but what do I know — Manchester United has on the bottom line been on the receiving end of point costing refereeing. And when the sums are added up — they are not small. And only a fraction of that is evident in attempts to evaluate VAR — which Dale BTW should get a ton of praise for (many situations are for example not clearly reviewed by VAR by play stopping). What are those forces? I don’t know. Could be related to a bunch of things. (1) Screw United and media from the time Ole was fired up until recently has paid very little attention to it, instead all focus has been on ETH/Amorim. (2) How are conflicts of interest handled by the PL? A referee can be a die hard Manchester United fan and even if United is in a race with Newcastle for a CL spot, still call a game between Newcastle and another PL team. (3) I’ve have several times before pointed how I find it mind boggling that the PL lets referees like Michael Oliver and his team practically work on the side for Newcastle and City’s owners. Mind boggling. How is that not a conflict of interest? All I know is that the biggest losers here from the👇, are refs at grass root levels and the society. The PL represents the society for so many. Real issues which are corruption-like in nature are swept under the carpet and not dealt with. Anyone who has an issue with them are called conspiracy theorists. The same season Oliver called that penalty against West Ham and worked for Abu Dahbi — he is awarded the FA Cup final between City and United. Good luck explaining that one.

Should hair pulling in football be violent conduct? Looking at: 📌 Why it is always deemed violent conduct 📌 Could an appeal be successful? 📌 Is a three-game ban always fair? 📌 Is a new approach possible? With input from Darren Cann. 👇 bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

@Ephsquare @SwedishRumble You’re talking waffle?? He touches his hair yes but he doesn’t tug, “most likely” means there is room for interpretation, and when every other part of the statement is a contradiction, you can’t apply one part and ignore the rest

@TransferDaily21 @SwedishRumble You're splitting hairs and deliberately ignoring the most important part of Webb's statement but I'll play your game. It means giving out the red card is always the most likely outcome for a hair tug infringement. This means it is never a wrong decision to send someone off for it

@Ephsquare @SwedishRumble You just backed up his point how there is tolerance from it when you look at the rules “In most circumstances” doesn’t mean “every circumstance” And “when not challenging for the ball”, Martinez was quite clearly challenging for the ball

@SwedishRumble You just wrote a whole bunch of nothing, the rules are clear, zero tolerance to hair pulling. If a referee in another game doesn't apply it then it's on him but the law was applied correctly in this case.

@AndyErsk @CohleVEVO @F_Edits I just scrolled your page, you’re a Leeds fan who posts more about United than you do Leeds, even when we were in different leagues, and you’re talking about tinted spectacles? Your blind hatred of United has made you look ridiculous

I have a brilliant solution to this; might be controversial, but we should give the referee the option to look back at the camera footage when they miss obvious fouls like *punching opponent in the face so he misses the ball and your teammates score from it*. Let the referees be assisted by videos
Scott Patterson@R_o_M

How does Yoro feel that and not go down holding his head? Why is he not racing after the ref once the goal has been given? It’s so naive. A clear foul, the goal never should have stood, but he jumps up and runs back for the restart 🤦🏻‍♂️

@CohleVEVO @TransferDaily21 @F_Edits You may as well give a foul every time someone jumps for a header and makes contact with another player. No one on the pitch or in the studio thought that was a foul. NO ONE. But lets put out faux outrage at the ref rather than questioning our own team and their performance

@AndyErsk @CohleVEVO @F_Edits How is it not a foul, he in no where near the ball, and leads with the arm, if can’t lead with the arm, it’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch, players have been sent off for a deliberate elbow, which is exactly what that is 😂

@CohleVEVO @TransferDaily21 @F_Edits The red wasn't a red. Id be jarred if that went against us. It also wasn't a foul on Yoro. Not a single player thought it was. You also can't be blaming the ref for the reason you lost. You hadnt played for near 3 weeks and got turned over by a team battling relegation

Dear @FA_PGMOL your rules says: “A player when ‘not challenging’ for the ball will be sent off if they are clearly pulling the hair of an opponent with force” Was Martinez challenging for the ball or not?

@AndyErsk @F_Edits It shouldn’t take a player rolling around on the floor like he has been shot for VAR to recognise a foul, no one complained about a hair pull on DLC but they still managed to see that

@Blessed_King001 @UtdForever7 @ManUtd @premierleague The issue is the players and the club are not allowed to speak out on poor decisions, the refs are never held accountable, therefore never actually make a change, we shouldn’t be accepting these things every week, something needs to change, but it won’t if people accept it

@UtdForever7 @ManUtd @premierleague Understand this. Every week, Every Game, In England & other leagues, Teams get robbed, referees make BIG mistakes. EVERY WEEK. Still, other teams win. Big Teams find a way every week. But when we are not dangerous enough, those mistakes come back to haunt us. We were horrible.

Manchester United Forever
• Clear penalty on Matheus Cunha by William Saliba — NO foul! • Saliba grabbing Altay Bayındır’s hand — NO foul + score. • Clear foul on Bryan Mbeumo denying a goal-scoring chance — NO red card. • Semenyo grabbing Dalot by the throat — NO red card. • Multiple handballs by Bournemouth in the box — NO penalty. • Lisandro Martínez goal wrongly disallowed for a “foul” that never existed — robbed us of 3 points. • Amad Diallo pulled and pushed in the box — NO penalty… same situation with Harry Maguire on the other end — penalty given. • Leny Yoro elbowed in the face — play on! • And then Lisandro Martínez gets sent off for actually trying to win the ball while Calvert-Lewin hands are all over his face. Same league, same rules… completely different decisions when it comes to Manchester United. This are just a few decisions that VAR got completely wrong against us this season and i have probably missed some, but you get the point — it’s Manchester United against everyone always. Make it make sense… 🤦‍♂️
