The funniest part of this discourse is the scousers pretending they’re part of some elitist FC that can look down on foreign fans. They think it’s 1975 where we have to accept it. You’re not going to bully non scousers into agreeing with every dinosaur opinion. We have rights. 👍

If I remember right, Jamie Carragher was calling Cole Palmer the best player in the Premier League while Mohamed Salah was having one of the greatest seasons we’ve ever seen. 🤣
Maybe Palmer being English played a part…..Never took Jamie as a racist but A bit of unconscious racism here.

@SajadIqbalLFC I changed my mind 12 months later as I think MO this season didn’t show enough off the pitch, I don’t really care about on the pitch as it’s his first average season. I’d like him to have spoken more for the club after defeats & not kill the manager publicly.

Before I clicked on this, I thought to myself “I bet this is full of comments saying Carra is somehow racist by the e-fans” and low and behold, the comments are along those lines.
When you ask them when and where was he racist, there’s silence. The sooner these pricks fuck off and “support” another team of a player they like, the better.

We don’t mind who supports our club, as long as they align with our values. Love the club like we do and you’re seen as one of us. Forcing division over ex players opinions is mental. And for the record, if you can’t appreciate what @Carra23 done for LFC, you certainly don’t see the game like we do. Second most appearances ever, a number that will not be beaten. 11 trophies, including FA Cup and European Cup. From 2004-2007 the debate was Terry or Carra. For me personally he was one of the best CB’s the club’s ever had. If we were going to battle, I’d want Jamie next to me! Wore his heart on his sleeve and gave everything he had for that red shirt. He may not have sprayed 40yard passes, but the notion that he was average is complete nonsense. Concentrated on defending and put everything he had into it. A top fella who does all sorts for local charities and supports many local businesses. A hero to many of us, but you’d never know it if you bumped into him coz he’s as grounded as they come. We didn’t “dream of a team of Carraghers” for nothing you know!!

@_thomasslfc @orlacsm Not just trophies. Individual accolades. Salah was voted best in the league by fellow players on 3 different occasions, FIFA the best top 3 on 2 different occasions. Only once was he out of the Balon D'or top 7 throughout his Liverpool career. What can you say about Barnes?

Salah 2021 to 2024 was consistently top 3, rivalled occasionally by Benzema, KDB, and a handful of others.

Been watching footy for 25+ years, and the BEST players in the world have never played in the Premier League
From R9 to Dinho to Messi to Mbappe/Yamal
From Zizou to Kaka to Xavi/Iniesta to Pedri/Vitinha
In fact I would say with the exception of prime Henry and CR7, the PL has never had a top 3 player in the world at any given time

Unsurprisingly as he works his way back from an ACL injury, Rodri hasn't been at his best this season. But make no mistake about it, losing Rodri, the 2nd Premier League player to win the Ballon D'Or since 2001, to Real Madrid... In the same summer as Salah leaves and within 3 years of Kane and De Bruyne's departures... Would be a yet another sign that the absolute BEST players in the world, are playing outside of England.

I don’t blow my own trumpet as it’s not my style or the style for people from the city of Liverpool, but we are allowed to defend ourselves! There has only been three CB’s from LFC to make the PFA TOTY in the PL era, VVD, Sami & me!! The year was 2005/6 when the PL CB’s were…….
