Last Friday I opened the Wokingham Arts Society Summer Exhibition which is full of joyful oil & water colour paintings as well as some great ceramics & wood carvings. I spoke about the contribution art makes to our lives & thanked all involved for setting up such a vibrant show.

At 11 pm on 31 Oct we become an independent nation again. You'd expect nat'l media to show the countdown to the moment on Big Ben. It's perhaps symbolic that Parliament which has done so much to try to thwart our independence shd have decided the clock is unavailable on that date

The media is running the view that Boris Johnson will not be getting on planes to go to see EU leaders asking for a renegotiation. The Cameron/May style of European negotiation travelling as a supplicant to the capitals of Europe did not work for them or the UK.

I deleted this tweet. I was focused on criticising Priti Patel for treating Darren Grimes as the poster-boy for young people and was careless in my language about him. That was wrong & I'm sorry. The Court has quashed the fine against Darren for the crime committed by Vote Leave.

"Let's leave with no deal" Can you name every EU system we're in? Can you name every right that comes from EU law? Can you name every trade deal we're in via the EU? No Deal ends it all. So if you can't, then you literally (I mean literally) don't know what you're talking about.
