The National League Top 7 is already done in my eyes, it's just a matter of which order: Carlisle, Boreham Wood, Southend, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe, FGR and Yeovil. I just don't see Sutton, Solihull, Woking and Halifax being on the same level as those seven.

I hope we see more of Tariq Hinds next season. He was victim to Drewe being so good but I don't even think he should be a RB. When he played in midfield against York, him and Timmy competed with their star midfield before injury. He's too technically gifted to be wasted at RB

@lee_southend @andrew_youngers Yeah but most clubs don't have money anyway. You could ask a player whether they would want low wages to play in front of 1.5k, or low wages to play in front of 8k+ and it's quite obvious which they would pick

@WokingfcReport @andrew_youngers "Apparently" our recruitment mantra is about low wages but the chance to play in front of 8k .. utterly bonkers if you ask me .. this level is about money and we won't spend it. We offered players less to sign new deals, GSM included 🤔😳

@lee_southend @andrew_youngers At the end of the day, you are Southend United football club. Good players will want to play for you, a lot of what you released were past their best and Popoola is a magician. I can see you building a mean squad, it's just about whether Dyer can deliver

@WokingfcReport @andrew_youngers We have lost 15 players from a squad that reached the play offs 2 seasons in a row and have signed 1 (admittedly decent looking) prospect.. way off it at this moment in time

@mattskhfc Very good hold up striker, good in the air, but pretty wasteful. Misses good chances more often than he scored them

Out of no where this one but ten goals in a relegated side and 8 goals season before at Woking. Not bad at all. Got a feeling this ain’t THE only striker we’re signing

@andrew_youngers @pentosufc444 I do think out of all the other teams outside those 7, Sutton are most likely to get into the playoffs. You just need an attacker who can score 15+ and you'll be in the same group as them

@pentosufc444 @WokingfcReport Our recruitment has been impressive this close season. If Chris can get us going in pre-season then there’s no reason why we can’t get a top 7 berth.

Yeah safe to say this won't last long. It's a good idea to incorporate the town's history in the badge, but it looks like a 2 minute ChatGPT job. Also looks near identical to the badge of Cambridge. Who signed off on this and thought the fans would like it? 😂

@DayDaniel33023 I'd love that for us, but we would require one of those seven to underperform to make playoffs. Maybe Yeovil or Southend with their inexperienced gaffers? But I don't see it

@WokingfcReport @Dan98064059 @HufcxG I’m not familiar enough with NL yet but I definitely don’t take it lightly and agree many of our fans will be in for a shock. Even so think we need to be targeting play offs, our form 2nd half of the season is much more reflective of the squad quality vs 1st half, which was 💩

@humpynacho @Dan98064059 @HufcxG But even Smith, he's not one of the best players at this level, there are many better attackers than him in the National League. I think you are (like all freshly relegated teams every season) underestimating the division

@WokingfcReport @Dan98064059 @HufcxG Thought you’d say SDM, and I don’t think he’s as much of a loss as you might think. Town fans have been unimpressed long before he was released. Smith would be a loss, but he’s not gone yet and if we do lose him I assume there’d be a decent fee.

@humpynacho @Dan98064059 @HufcxG I mean it's bare bones because you don't really have many better players, but Duke McKenna, with Reece Smith having interest. I don't think either of them are THAT good anyway and you could lose both

@shayman72 @Lincs_Glover Yeah it's not a free, but I've been given a specific number of a fee that's apparently been agreed. When rumours are this strong it usually means something

@WokingfcReport @Lincs_Glover That's all coming from Hartlepool fans. They're also saying he's going on a free lol. We had a one year option on him and we triggered his option. So if he goes, which I think he will, whoever signs will have to pay a fee. He'll be a big loss but we'll find someone else.

@Lincs_Glover @WokingfcReport Lakeland has left a cracking 11/12 players from last season. A lot will depend on Harris staying but I think he'll be playing in the EFL next season. But we still have 2 Johnson's, Hugill, Hobson, Jay Turner-Cooke - who is another EFL standard player, Bray, Kawa etc.
