Far as I can tell, these freaks are paid unfathomable amounts of money solely to do media spots where they call for making the lives of poor, sick, and disabled people even harder.

Assuming you're literate, it's a selfish way of communicating. It saves the sender a small amount of time where they can 'ummm' instead of formulating a point properly. Then the receiver has to sit through it all, spending multiples of the amount of time they'd spend to read it.

It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.

Zuckerberg believes he is solving a logistics problem for creators. He is actually dissolving the oldest boundary in human psychology.
