As Security forces were conducting intense intelligence to rescue Orire victims, some so called activists were putting pressure on FG to release the terrorists in detention so as to secure victims release. FG ignored the nuisances

Peter obi will be arraigned at the court if he failed to pay the N25,000 fine and apologize. My prayer is that he behaves like his brother Nnamdi Kanu and ignores to do the right thing. Heaven will not fall if he gets arrested, and even if heaven falls. We shall be blessed that heaven fell in our lifetime 🙂‍↕️

High Chief Lawrence Igbins Okoro
According to Peter Obi, Goodluck Jonathan was regularly providing security updates on the rescue operations of the Chibok girls. It is safe to say that was why he failed to rescue the girls. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was wise enough to keep those updates, today the children and teachers are free. In Peter Obi’s book, keep taking same approach that keeps failing. No wonder he was a colossal failure as Governor of Anambra state.

Worsening Leadership Crisis in the Country Now Evident The ultimate cost of uncompassionate leadership, as evident in the country today, is turning citizens’ frustration into deep, volatile resentment. It is even more traumatising when the leader presiding over that collapse demonstrates clear incapacity and a lack of compassion. The government and people of Oyo State, more than 50 days after the abduction of the schoolchildren without any tangible effort toward their rescue, should rightly feel bitter and abandoned. Since this unfortunate incident, I have spoken publicly about it twice, including appealing directly to the kidnappers to release the children. I also called the Governor twice to assure him of my solidarity, understanding that this issue is not just an Oyo problem but a Nigerian tragedy. On Friday, July 3, I decided to travel to Ibadan with Prof. Pat Utomi to express solidarity with the Governor, as more than 50 days had elapsed without the rescue of the children and with numerous others still being held captive across the country. During our two-hour meeting, I shared my experience in addressing insecurity as Governor of Anambra State. I recalled how President Olusegun Obasanjo, and later Presidents Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan, would personally call us several times whenever we faced major security challenges. But, to my utmost shock, I discovered that, contrary to my assumption that they had been in regular communication over the matter, Governor Seyi Makinde had not received a single call from President Bola Tinubu. I remember the only case of a school kidnapping during President Goodluck Jonathan’s era - the Chibok girls. It drew local and international attention. Even though the security agencies provided almost daily updates on their efforts, Nigerians and the rest of the world were outraged that it took President Jonathan over two weeks to call the then State chief Executive. I vividly recall that the current President, Bola Tinubu, led a team of vocal critics who called for President Jonathan’s immediate resignation over the incident, citing his delay in calling the state governor. That call for IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION should actually be the case in this matter. Today, under President Tinubu, there have been more than 13 school kidnappings, yet the President has found it difficult to call the affected state’s chief executive after more than 50 days (over 7 weeks). This is outrageous. I suspect the same may also have been the case in other school kidnapping incidents. I cannot imagine any issue more important than the lives of our kidnapped children, their teachers, and the many other Nigerians being held captive across the country. It is now an indisputable fact that governance has completely collapsed under this administration. The situation reflects a total lack of capacity and compassion, compounded by glaring insensitivity. Amid such an apparent display of incompetence, the President should either resign or, at the very least, abstain from seeking re-election for the sake of our dear country. This call is patriotic, not political. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Nigerians 🇳🇬 are truly difficult to please 😃 We begged and protested for the Oyo students and teachers to be rescued. After a successful rescue operation by our security forces (with some kidnappers arrested and others neutralized). Now people are demanding: 'Show us the faces of the kidnappers!' Where are the dead bodies?! Nothing ever seems enough. What exactly do we want? #OyoRescue #Nigeria"

Again, Yorubas are very exceptional and amusing people with a great culture of deep gratitude. I'm saying this because I saw a video last night where so many people in Oyo State were celebrating our gallant soldiers after the successful rescue operation, and I was genuinely happy and emotionally touched. Today, just watch how another group of people from the same community where the abducted Oyo school children and teachers were rescued came out to thank and appreciate the military personnel as they drove away after completing the operation. I mean, we have seen many successful rescue operations in this country, but we hardly see this kind of emotional appreciation for the men and women who risk their lives to make those rescues possible. Those cheers, those prayers and those words of gratitude reminded me that behind every successful operation are soldiers who left their own families not knowing if they would return home alive. Sometimes I wonder if we Nigerians celebrate our security personnel enough when they succeed. If we can criticize them when they fall short, why can't we also stand up and appreciate them when they bring innocent children back home safely? If these soldiers had failed, wouldn't the whole country have been talking about it? So why should their success receive less attention than their failures? Why is it so difficult for us to publicly say, "Thank you" to the people who put their lives on the line for us every single day? May God bless every Yoruba man and woman out there, and Nigerians in general. I pray that this evil tragedy of kidnapping and senseless killings will never come near your homes, your communities or your land again. May God continue to protect every family, strengthen our security personnel and grant our nation lasting peace. Amen. 🇳🇬

I just saw on the news, a former DSS official said that the DSS tracked down the mothers and relatives of the OYO state children and teachers' kidnappers, and did a video recording of them and sent to the kidnappers. Threatening to kill their relatives if they kill any of the victims. Whatever the motives of the senseless kidnapping and beheading of one of the victims were, the DSS and other security operatives have done a great job. 56 days in captivity is no child's play. Those children need to be placed under intensive care and a thorough psychological study should be carried out on them. They have been traumatized for life, and no amount of rehabilitation can reset their once innocent and peaceful lives. For the 8 arrested kidnappers, the DSS should extract all necessary intelligent information that they can get from them, and the government should not waste any tax payers' money to trial them in court. They all should be summarily executed. If possible, beheaded. Thank you to President Tinubu for bringing back the captives. End.

@Pressman2040 The main culprit is not the military. People have not been able to trust the government, unfortunately the government also has not made it easy to gain the people's trust. Na distrust for government dey "koba" the military.

Kidnap innocent citizens and the Nigerian government will arrest your father, mother, wife, concubines, siblings, demolish your family house, and you might not make it back alive. A very good strategy going forward. #SayNoToTerrorism
