My initial thoughts on the little amount of time I played the C.A.R.R.I. event yesterday, I don’t think this is going to entice hardcore players/pure PvP players to help newer players in Marathon to complete their contracts and work together. I think it’s going to be a continuing trend of dedicated players just stomping on new players.
@geekypastimes It's because people bought into a narrative, and now they need to see the narrative fulfilled, otherwise they have to admit that they were wrong. And that is one of the most difficult things that Internet culture and the dopamine that goes along with it has caused.
Can someone explain to me, as eloquently as you can, why some people want #Marathon to fail and will actively try to dismiss anything positive about Marathon?
I know there's people who think Marathon failing will help Destiny somehow, I think they're wrong, but why else?
@MarathonGG_ Nobody I encounter responds on Prox Chat, so when is this going to be used? Also it just takes up an inventory slot we don't already have enough of.
How are people making 100's of thousands in marathon? My wallet stays pretty much the exact same around 60-100k. A couple bad runs and boom I have to buy a bunch of stuff and the wallet goes down again. Even just the cost of meds and ammo is hard to get back
Our experiment is almost complete with the duos queue and we've gathered a lot of valuable information to help us finalize our plans for duos for Season 2. With the culmination of the duo experiment, we just wanted to thank everyone who has participated and helped us learn more about duos in Marathon, and tease that we're looking to bring the queue back better than ever in the course of Season 2. More details to come on that in future updates.
Details:
- On Wednesday 4/8 at 10 AM PT we will be disabling the "Outpost - Duos" Queue.
- There will be a new experimental queue starting on 4/15 at 10 PT. More details about this queue coming next week.
In regards to experiments, we have a new experimental queue we'll be running starting on 4/14. We'll have more information on this queue within the next week, and look forward to you joining us again to help us learn more about additional features we're interested in adding to our game.
Thanks again for helping us evolve this game!
I use Y press to change weapons (default) and remapped knife to Y tap for fast deployment. I'm not really a fan that knife function is not the same as melee (punch) as it is with other Bungie layouts, but it makes more sense with the knife swipe (low heat) and knife stab (high heat). I also swapped the low heat and high heat knife from LT/RT to RT/LT because I want max knife damage on the weapon trigger even if it means more heat expended.
@echosartplanet@MarathonTheGame@TheBattlEye is an utter failure. The technology just plain doesn't work. It's not Bungie's, it's a third party tool and I don't know why they keep using it.
@MarathonTheGame Bungies battleeye anticheat system is weak, we had this issue with destiny 2 where it falsely targeted non cheaters and let the real cheaters run rampant in the game. i too prefer to stay away from most live service games, its a waste of money
Ranked is available this week now through Thursday at 10 AM PT. Here's the official reveal of the Destroyer style you can earn by reaching Gold or higher!
@NASAAdmin@AJamesMcCarthy What exactly was the point of this? A quick flyby and then back. It’s definitely impressive but also seems entirely pointless
Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth.
On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world.
Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.
