@AbisoyeOmotosho @Afc_saks1 I just pray they win this game then go on to beat Al-hilal next week. If they can do this two then they own the league

This is what Kompany should have done in the first leg and not fall into the PSG bait to come out fully. It’s a knockout game, you’re supposed to manage the moment. He will learn from this.
This was exactly what Luis Enrique told them to do they came with the intention to defend, and that’s what they did. Vitinha having that few touches tells you everything…this wasn’t about control, it was about control of space, not the ball.
An open game like the first leg was never sustainable. That chaos, that end-to-end madness. It plays into emotion, not structure. And in knockout football, emotion gets you eliminated. The first team that decides, “we’re shutting this down, we’re suffering if we have to” that team usually wins the tie.
And that’s what PSG did.
They flipped the script completely. Instead of trying to outplay Bayern, they out-disciplined them. Compact shape, reduced distances between lines, no unnecessary risks in buildup even if it meant sacrificing their usual identity.
Because here’s the key. PSG didn’t try to be the better footballing side, they tried to be the more mature side.
Every time Bayern looked to accelerate the game, PSG slowed it down. Every time Bayern tried to create width and stretch them, PSG collapsed centrally and forced low-percentage actions. It became less about brilliance and more about patience and that’s where Bayern were dragged into discomfort.
And once you turn the game into a battle of patience rather than patterns, you neutralize a lot of what makes Kompany’s system special.
That’s why Vitinha barely saw the ball not because PSG couldn’t find him, but because they chose not to build through him. They bypassed phases, went more direct when needed, protected transitions, and most importantly, they respected the danger of the opponent.
In a final, that approach becomes even more powerful.
Because finals aren’t won by the team that plays the best football they’re won by the team that makes the fewest mistakes, defends the best, and picks the right moments.
PSG showed they can do that.

❤️💙 Marquinhos: “Tonight we show that we also know how to defend, how to battle like crazy”.

Can confirm the reports, Valverde and Tchouameni got into another fight today, just 24h after the previous one. It was way worse than Wednesday's confrontation and Valverde had to be taken to hospital to get some stitches.

@McFlybowy how good you defend, losing a match can still happen. PSG had the upper hand and knew scoring first will put them at the best advantage. But what if Bayern scored first, do you think they will still defend all through?
English

@McFlybowy All this analysis just because Bayern didn’t win. Football is a game of luck. No one knew the first leg would come out that way, not even the Enrique you are hyping. Bayern had their chances in the second leg but psg keeper said “Not today”. No matter
