Do we over-emphasize the "burst out of a break" and under-value a player entering their break at near-top speed then maintaining it?

I understand the urge. College is expensive. Now there’s the NIL possibility as well.
However I also believe your kid will either be good enough or not for a scholarship and holding them back doesn’t change much.
