My 9 year maxed 2376 account was hijacked on 18/04/2026 and blackmailed to send money or he’d ban it which I can provide the email he sent. A jmod locked the account and said I’d get an email to recover got an email and was banned the Hijacker sold it. #osrs #oldschoolrunescape

I’ve posted on Reddit regarding my 2376 9 year old OSRS account that I made on twitch. My email was compromised and the hijacker changed details and sold the account and a JMOD banned it for “change of Hands” I just want to speak to a human. Not an AI bot reddit.com/r/2007scape/s/…

I’ve played RuneScape for 20years and always loved the game, but on the 18/04/2026 my email was compromised which was my launcher email and the hijacker logged in realised he couldn’t get my bank and sold my account. @JagexCurse @JagexWest @JagexSupport @JagexKieren @JagexArchie

@JagexSupport on the 18/03/2026 at 7:06 PM my gmail was compromised and the hijacker got into my email and launcher via email code I believe. I contacted a jmod on live chat who locked the account for me.

@JagexSupport I’ve tried speaking to the AI chatbot but absolutely no help, tried Reddit no jmods replying. @JagexSupport

I can’t login as the hijacker changed the email that was used on the launcher to even appeal so I’m having to speak to AI agents and even “JMOD” AI agents. I want to prove the account is mine and I’m the original owner but I can’t on an AI livechat. @JagexSupport

@JagexSupport The account was then sold so support said and it was banned, but if you look properly you’ll see it wasn’t me on the IP I’ve played on for years @JagexSupport

@JagexSupport I have all evidence to prove I’m the owner of the account, but I can’t provide to an AI chatbot. The hijacker changed all my details and compromised my email which gained them access and send blackmail emails demanding money or I’ll get banned @JagexSupport

@JagexSupport was told to wait 72 hours for an email with questions to fill out to regain access. But instead I recieved this email saying that the hijacker basically sold the account and it’s perm banned? But in the email says they always try help hijacker’s as much as they can

@JagexSupport I’ve tried to contact JMODS directly via Reddit etc and still no joy. I just want to prove everything you said you need which you aren’t allowing me to do? Thousands of hours spent, I deserve to prove the account is originally owned by me.

Not had a chance to provide any info for my account I’m just speaking to AI agents, how can you just ban an account but not let them prove they’re the original owners. Allowing an AI agent to make a decision?

@JagexSupport hey mate, not sure if you can or would help me but on 18/04/2026 my email was compromised that was my jagex launcher email and spoke to a JMOD on the live chat and he locked the account and said that wait for an email in 72 hours.
