We are building a coding learning platform for students from underserved communities - @vero_skills! Around 1+ month ago we automated students' screening flow and shortened the pre-onboarding time from 1 month to 2.5 weeks! Using Typeform, VideoAsk, Notion & Zapier.

We have officially started working on the @vero_skills apprenticeships portal, yay! Here is the feature I am looking forward to the most - embedded Videoasks for students' self-presentation! Coolest idea from @Danielwwalsh and visualisation from @thiswillblossom 😎

Talked to @bestsashahere and best @DzmitryRakitski about the latest news and team challenges/assignments. No joke, I really missed my people&work. Taking the vacation now was a great decision😌 #buildinpublic

@vitaliy_bychik • we added a modal window with a tip to book a call when students run code and get errors - this increased the conversion of users on the course to users booking a call from 36% to 55%.

@bestsashahere What kind of experiments succeeded?

Most of the product experiments fail, how do you like that?🤨 I check out VeroSkills experiments board and starting from June 1st, we have 17 product experiments, and only 6 of them were successful.

@vitaliy_bychik To name a few: • feedback & rating after the calls made required - and though users could still close the feedback page, the % of calls with feedback increased from 50% to 80%.

Starting my week with some user behavior analysis on @vero_skills. Love working with tables & data, tbh better than having calls😅

@k_novoselova @vero_skills Well, for these cases I usually follow up on how the metric is looking post-experiment dates. Also "unclear" is for cases when the target metric value wasn't achieved, if there was an improvement in the expected behavior - I just leave it like this.

@anasborii It didn't work for me from a long-term perspective. But definitely a valid way to go for a short-term perspective.

Hard work, dedication and responsible attitude to the project are important, but still it's so important to have work-life balance to feel good. Sometimes, it's hard to keep this balance, but I think it сomes with experience. How do YOU feel about overtimes? #buildinpublic
