I tried this out yesterday and it's incredible: download a 4GB binary, child 755 it and now you have a full LLM and the software needed to run it ready to go, with multiplied operating system platforms supported by that single file
Justine Tunney@JustineTunney

I spent the last month building llamafile which is the fattest executable file format ever. It lets you turn LLM weights into runnable llama.cpp binaries using cosmo libc. github.com/mozilla-Ocho/l… Blog post: hacks.mozilla.org/2023/11/introd…

@halvarflake What about at least explaining what the “decisions that led us here” were. Otherwise it’s a pretty hollow statement.

So when a CEO says they take "full responsibility" for layoffs, what does that mean? Walk of shame? Seppuku? Using their own RSUs that year to cushion the blow? Sundar gets an estimated 60m+ a year in RSU, that'd be 5k per person that's been let go. That'd be responsibility? ;)

More and more #osint tool developers create accounts in Mastodon: @c3n7ral051nt4g3ncy@infosec.exchange (@OSINT_Tactical) @podalirius@infosec.exchange (@podalirius_) @n0kovo@infosec.exchange (@n0kovo) @binarypool@infosec.exchange (@binarypool)

Today I began assembling a list that will include single programmers and small teams that develop tools for #OSINT twitter.com/i/lists/143622… In this thread I will tell you which of these people are working on which project (please subscribe to them and put stars on #Github) 🧵

1/ Just want to put this news in plain language for people. Senior people at Twitter have resigned in the last 48 hours. We now now why. They said in private Slack channels that @elonmusk is so desperate to recoup his money, he’s taking crazy risks with YOUR privacy and safety.

With Twitter's change in ownership last week, I'm probably in the clear to talk about the most unethical thing I was asked to build while working at Twitter. 🧵

An odd infosec-startup secret is how low the bar is, even from a business p.o.v. People think they need Facebook numbers, but if you have 2000 happy, paying customers, you will be better than huge swaths of the RSAC floor. More hax0rs should try. We need more things that work..

What’s a good, lightweight open source tool for receiving server logs (eg from fluent-bit or similar) and applying a rule-set to raise alerts on events of concern?
