@ganeshk03 100% true from a founders perspective, at least 1 founder has to be rock solid in sales. I agree that when everything keeps falling, selling can actually save a ship. Be it with last min revenue or PMF ground feedback. I can write a dissertation on it :p


I have done sales multiple times as a part of my career. No doubt it is an important job and someone needs to do it. But it is a sad and humiliating experience. The customers don’t treat you that well. The bosses just reduce you to a number. There is always pressure to meet targets. Your efforts are not valued - the results are. And in sales, it is often not completely in your control. May be I was bad at it. May be my sample space is not big enough. But sales roles, specially in India, should be picked up if you have no other option left.
