Someone being a villian doesnt make their heroic actions not heroic. People exist in greyscale. Characters are complex. Thats why theyre "traits". 2/2

Happy and sad are descriptive words, they apply when the emotions apply. No persons a "happy person", they just feel happy sometimes.

I will say it. Queer characters should be allowed to be flawed, to be messy, to majorly screw up. Like any other character in fiction that happens to be straight or CIS. And it's not faulty writing: it's about depicting people with nuance, whether they're LGBTQ+ or not. #LGBT

@potterypannel @RhockoHarrison You seem to be under the false impression that there is some kind of invisible threshold one must reach of a specific trait before that trait can be ascribed to a character. Thats not how that works, and never has been. You just dont want to consider a bad person as sympathetic.

Empathizing with a character also isnt an agreement with their actions. It is an understanding of their emotional state. Understanding someones actions isnt the same as agreeing with them.
