@SlewGG @owaisicle @PowerEsportsCon @BigEsportsConf It's just level of investment. Being D1 in traditional sports means a larger budget. More scholarship spots, travel/recruiting budgets, and # of sports needing to be supported. This new Div1 league is trying to match the high standards set on D1 in traditional sports.

What are your top 10 collegiate esports "blue bloods"?
Specifically those who have been competitive (T25ish) for at least 3+ years?
Can be primarily in 1 title or multiple.

@Carrybou2 @TheDangerTaco A more realistic answer is whatever the donor wants. Its rare to see a large donation without much direction on where to spend it. If the donor wants to build a million dollar state-of-the-art facility with their name on it, that's where the money will go

i am completely unaware of the financial side of esports programs so i was being conservative and didn’t consider that haha

@Carrybou2 @TheDangerTaco Would use a portion to upgrade facilities in the short-term. But most would go to forming an endowed account to fund the esports program into perpetuity. The interest alone would fund scholarships/travel/more full-time positions.

@Carrybou2 @TheDangerTaco It would be similar to how our athletic program is using the 300 million. They are using 25% of it to build the stadium and the remaining 75% as constant income streams.
