@CPMumma79 Had the same letter when my mum died last year, my take was that this process is reversing a direct debit that was paid in "error" rather than direct access to any other funds in the account. I ended up having to pay them the overpayment later from estate.

What’s quite astounding is Pension age has been increased to 68yrs as apparently our Government can no longer afford it, families are struggling to get by, but miraculously they can afford to splash out on thousands & thousands of unknown people who’ve not paid a penny into this country. Then they wander why we are not happy.
