@thamosdeaf Tbh I kind of want to spam the Rosenbaum article he wrote after Bergman passed where he called him one of the more overrated directors of the 20th century. Idc about calling Scorsese overrated, but using Bergman like this is hilarious when he was routinely mocked as middlebrow.

As somebody who has seen ~30 Bergman films and owns the big Bergman set and the original run Taschen Archives, this feels like an opinion two decades out of step. Nobody really fucks with Bergman like that now.
