@mattstratton Migrated our main Kafka cluster. Switched all producers and consumers to the new cluster safely. Then terminated the new cluster instead of the old one because of a typo. Fun times.

I wrote a custom gRPC loadbalancer years ago. That thing is still running in production with mostly no maintenance, balancing load just fine, no service mesh, no Istio, no BS. I don't get the overcomplication sometimes. It's also open source :) github.com/joa/jawlb
