During the mega-2015-2016 El Niño, temperature anomalies in the central equatorial Pacific Ocean were extremely prolonged–lasting almost 1 year on Kiritimati (Christmas Island, Republic of Kiribati). For reference, corals can bleach after only a few weeks of heat stress.

My first paper! Functional response experiments are often used to predict the impact of invasive predators on prey, but many only use males. What about females? We checked it out with invasive green crabs. 1/7 ⬇️
