Mariah took a pay cut, worked NXT for a year. Now she’s getting a pay bump. Worked for Stephanie Vaquer. People don’t understand that “former WWE superstar” carries a lot of weight on the indies. Does anybody think Matt Cardona would’ve been the Indy god without WWE? Taking a pay cut in this economy is not something I recommend but if it doesn’t work out, you just raised your rate everywhere else for the simple fact that you were in WWE

If you’re a wrestler that gets offered big money in WWE, you have to be cognizant of the fact that unless you get over as a top talent and/or big merch seller, WWE is gonna try to get out of that deal as soon as possible.
