Starting a screen recording should take seconds, and you definitely shouldn't have to think about tidying up. I'm now hiding all Desktop files/folders when you press record. This will be a toggle in settings you can quickly access.

🚨 Announcing a new SOTA memory system, Observational Memory (OM), available in latest @mastra version now. It achieves the highest scores ever recorded on LongMemEval (gpt-4o 84.2%, gpt-5-mini 94.9%) No RAG, no graphs, no input based retrieval, just a simple constantly evolving text blob that outperforms every other memory system available. 🧵1/4

Nothing has turned my gf into a situation monitor more than live shark sighting notifications whilst we’re in Australia. She’s plugged into the great whites within a 200 mile radius

I'm really proud to announce that @SlingMoney received a registration from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority under the MLRs on December 23rd. It was an early Christmas gift! We believe we're the first stablecoin-focused firm to be registered in the UK. In the coming days we'll be moving Sling from being "invite only" in the UK to having a fully open signup, joining more than 120 countries around the world where Sling is freely available and connecting people to a global, instant and nearly free financial system using digital dollars. When we started building Sling a few years ago we had no idea whether or not this would be possible. But here we are, and we will have a lot more to announce in the coming weeks and months. A lot more. 2026 is Sling's year to ship. (If you're looking for us on the FCA register, we're there as Avian Labs Ltd and we were registered on December 23, 2025. It was an early Christmas present from the FCA.)

@AdamRackis I think it’s a function of parallelisation - I have a fish script to spin up a worktree and bootstrap Claude - chuck the ticket/expected fix/expectations for tests and let it crack on. Do this n times, review some PRs. Not always quickest, but doing a bunch at once is cool.

Where are my gainfully employed software engineers who use AI tools (vibe coders just sit this one out - here’s some crayons to play with) Am I using it wrong, or is it just faster to do smaller / non-obvious tasks by hand, vs writing a clear prompt and then verifying?

@kettanaito We have ours (Bruno) source-committed, generated from the API with a bunch of scripts to automatically populate auth and faker-style default arguments. That is the extent of what it should be imo

Can someone ELI5 why API mocking tools even need team collaboration? To sync the mocks across teams or something? I genuinely don't understand.

just lost 20 min of my life trying to ask waymo support for a copy of my very strange waymo ride tonight why? no way to do it without a police report that seems wrong to me if you are surveilled and studied by an AI system you should have access to your user history including video. period. burden should be on the company and not the government and we deserve a right to our data same as users deserve a right to privacy

Anyone else find it weird that the TfL website (a .gov.uk site), is 70% advert for the Land Rover Defender? 🤔

@mitsuhiko Worst abuse I've had online is saying on Bluesky "AI has really good applications in business actually, but I do get the consumer story is a bit weaker right now"

I made a post on Bluesky that pulled in a pretty hostile anti-AI crowd over night. The comments are vulgar yet oddly fascinating.

@psviderski I've often said @flydotio's USP is their internal DNS. This is of that level of simplicity - really slick.

Tailscale just nailed service discovery and HA without any complexity Tailscale Services - think k8s Services for your entire infrastructure but without k8s - define a service → get a stable virtual IP - hosts advertise local endpoints → service traffic routes to nearest available host - multiple hosts → automatic HA and regional routing - DNS and ACLs just work as usual - free during beta Inspiring how Tailscale takes their time to build thoughtful primitives that make networking feel dead simple
