A driver who killed a family of four, including two babies, at a San Francisco bus stop was sentenced to probation. Mary Fong Lau (seen here walking through the courthouse today) dodged jail and prison time. Lau, 80, was speeding when her Mercedes SUV plowed into a West Portal bus stop in 2024, investigators said. A family was waiting to catch the bus for a trip to the zoo. The crash killed Diego Cardoso de Oliveira, his wife, Matilde Pinto, and their two babies. Today in Ho Chi Minh City you can find a monument to the triumph of the Communist Revolutionaries over the Capitalist-Imperialist dogs across the street from a McDonald's full of American and Vietnamese dining together. Meanwhile, the Communists of Vietnam hate more than anyone else in the world the Communist Chinese. If the objective of the Vietnam War was to contain the spread of Communism and prevent an expanding unified Communist block... then our mission was accomplished.
