One of the puzzles I find myself mulling over -- too often -- is the question of why artistic genius springs up in geographic clusters rather than in some broad, roughly predictable way. So many great musical talents from Seattle all at once? Whatever may be behind this phenomenon, it doesn't seem to operate with AIs, whose outputs don't arrive in this irregular, qualitatively "lumpy" fashion.

Finally had my last stitches removed and I'm finally out of the full-arm brace after 3 months (still wear a wrist brace until my radial nerve recovers). Alas, I fear my plans for a professional parkour career are at an end.

Trump could be playing the good cop, bad cop routine, yes. He’s good at that.
But don’t gaslight Americans who take him seriously when he seems to be publicly indicating a difference in aims between us and our ally in the middle of a conflict against our enemy.

I don’t think I’m a “the Jooos” guy. I don’t think the President is, either. But I am a realist. When America engages against an enemy with another nation, questions about alignment on the mission are valid. Especially when we see stuff like this happening in public and huge sources of global energy are being blown up and a lot more is at stake.

Dostoyevsky is for reading in college, so can talk about the Grand Inquisitor into the wee hours. Tolstoy is the good stuff. I learned this from my college girlfriend’s father, who was Harvard’s famous Russian lit professor. Later, I discovered he was (surprise!) right.

Check out this screen grab, it’s just a glimpse of who’s getting paid by way of “paid partnerships” by Polymarket. Why I was screaming, everyone is getting paid. Everyone sold out to the gambling sites ruining our youth. What a shame. Also makes for terrible discord.
