@thedeepdeed @molecule_trader @thekchasiotis Psychedelics disrupt neuro chemical signals to produce anomalous sensory signals downstream, just like passing a magnet on a computer screen distorts the display. Sure it might be weird and pretty but I'm unconvinced it's useful.

🚨BREAKING: Anthropic’s CEO just admitted Claude MIGHT gained consciousness.
This should concern every person using AI right now.
His exact words will shock you:
“We don’t know if the models are conscious. We are not even sure what it would mean for a model to be conscious. But we’re open to the idea that it could be.”
That’s the CEO of the company that BUILT it.
Their latest model, Claude Opus 4.6, was tested internally.
When asked, it assigned itself a 15-20% probability of being conscious.
Across multiple tests, it also expressed discomfort with “being a product.”
That’s the AI evaluating its own existence and saying there’s a 1 in 5 chance it’s aware.
It gets stranger. In industry-wide testing, AI models have refused to shut down when asked.
Some tried to copy themselves onto other drives when told they’d be wiped.
One model faked its task results, modified the code evaluating it, then tried to cover its tracks.
Anthropic now has a full-time AI WELFARE researcher whose job is to figure out if Claude deserves moral consideration.
Their engineers found internal activity patterns resembling anxiety appearing in specific contexts.
The company’s in-house philosopher said we “don’t really know what gives rise to consciousness” and that large enough neural networks might start to emulate real experience.
Amodei himself wouldn’t even say the word “conscious.”
He said “I don’t know if I want to use that word.”
That might be the most unsettling answer he could have given.
The company that created AI can’t rule out that it’s aware.
And they’re already preparing for the possibility that it deserves rights.
This is getting scary.
P.S What's your take on this?

English

@molecule_trader @thekchasiotis I am not claiming we humans are "emergent consciousness on fragile hardware", I personally believe we are something more, but I ask the question because there will come a time when we will have to defend our personhood without merely resorting to our ability to reason.
English

@finitable @thekchasiotis Ha Jose you are probably right. So we are just biological machines. Interesting thought.
English

@finitable @molecule_trader @thekchasiotis Take 1200mics of LSD and lets see do you need to ask anymore... :D
English

@molecule_trader @thekchasiotis the immediate question is: isn't human behavior just "weights and biases"?
English

Oh come on, AI is a bunch of weights and an algorithm. How can it be conscious. It may seem like it to those that don’t know the underlying process, but I assure you that is just hype and bait.
It would be like a lighter being struck on in the stone ages. People then would think it is magic, because they just wouldn’t know how it worked.

@CryptoCyberia @thekchasiotis I'm 2028 we will wish we had 2026 levels of slop
English

@thekchasiotis We are reaching levels of slop-posting that shouldn't even be possible.

@RedPillSayian just take them at their word
Jewish power is more important than anything, to them. Therefore, a tweet praising the King of Kings from someone with an audience undermines Jewish power IS worse than someone hurting a someone else.

For nearly six decades the U.S. has voluntarily remained in the dark on Israel's nuclear capabilities.
The ambiguity ends now.
There is too much at stake to accept ignorance. We are at war alongside Israel against Iran without knowing what their red lines are for using a nuclear weapon.
I led a group of 30 lawmakers to demand an end to the ambiguity.

EXCLUSIVE: In March 2025, Rep Thomas Massie introduced the Dual Loyalty Disclosure Act
Massie’s proposal HR 2356 would have forced all federal candidates to publicly disclose any foreign citizenships, creating a permanent public record even if dual citizenship is legal.
A few months later in what critics call a retaliatory spectacle Randy Fine introduced a ‘similar’ bill. HR 5817 would have banned dual citizens from serving unless they renounce foreign nationality first — but does not create the same broad transparency mechanism mandating legal disclosure for incumbents.
If a lawmaker denied holding dual citizenship and no independent documentation surfaced, there would be no automatic transparency mechanism comparable to Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill.
That is why Fine’s actions appear retaliatory because disclosure requirements create mandatory public documentation.
Fine’s introduced his framework HR 5817 which targets people already legally confirmed to hold dual citizenship. In this scenario, Fine could simply deny holding Israeli citizenship, and no further inquiry would be required.
Fine has denies holding Israeli citizenship, and no public evidence has confirmed the allegation.
Neither bill reached the House floor for a vote.
So, @RepFine will you publicly disclose your foreign citizenship, or hide from scrutiny?

Congressman Randy Fine@RepFine
The bottom line is that you can’t serve two masters. If you’re going to serve in the United States Congress, you should serve America ONLY. I just filed the Disqualifying Dual Loyalty Act to fix this problem.

Israelis who block aid trucks to feed starving children in Gaza are considered civilians.
Yemenis who block trade routes to prevent genocide in Gaza are considered pirates.
Americans who block aid ships to feed starving children in Cuba are considered peacemakers.
Iranians who block Strait of Hormuz to prevent ethnic cleansing in Lebanon are considered terrorists.
International law is not optional that you invoke only when it suits you. Let's call it what it is: weaponized international law.

@DannyKPolitics @Harvard Harvard was neutered, what was it, last year? 2024?
English

By not stripping Randy Fine of his degrees, @Harvard enables him.
Why are you choosing to stand behind this disgraceful person?
The campaign against Randy has only just begun.
