WWE absolutely gutted the NXT roster.

Losing this much talent without any replacements, especially in the men’s division, is going to hurt. With the CW deal around $25 million, you have to wonder if TKO just doesn’t see NXT as a worthwhile investment anymore given how little the return is.

A huge part of the reason why Uncle Howdy getting released hurts, because all he wanted to do was tribute Bray Wyatt, his brother. & you know what…a lot of people shit on him for that…I'll never understand. Thank you Uncle Howdy for everything ⭕️🖤 #Firefliesforever

Show me where anybody I do a podcast with did this. You can’t.
Yes, Eric has been critical of the decisions made by a 40 something year old billionaire. But that’s not what you are doing here.
Burying young talent trying to make their bosses happy at their job is a you thing.
The way you, as a journalist, have talked about guys like Austin Theory is shameful. The way you compliment guys like Kyle Fletcher at the expense of others only hurts Kyle in the long run.
You have hurt AEW more than you ever helped it doing this same bit. You just won’t stop and continue to double down.
I’m not even mad at you about it because Lord, bless your heart, you don’t mean to. You just can’t help yourself.

You can start by telling your own partners in crime to not make their gimmicks doing exactly what you are claiming here and clearly what they set out to do and what I didn't set out to do at all.

@WebIsJericho @IAmJericho I’m confused by the thumbnail. What does El Grande Americano have to do with any of this?

@TheRajGiri We can debate DQ until we’re blue in the face, but it doesn’t change the fact that the match should have been a double count out on multiple occasions.
English

When was the last time a match ended in a DQ for using the steps? I legitimately can't remember the last time that's happened
Aaron Oster@TheAOster
@TheRajGiri Yes, picking up the steps and using it that way is a DQ basically 100% of the time. Throwing into table/steps is not.

I praised WM42 Night 2 earlier, but I do have one massive gripe about the main event…
Roman Reigns should have been disqualified. Simple as that. How is it that in the biggest match of the year, WWE just throws out the rulebook?
If they wanted weapons involved, then change the stipulation. No DQ. Falls Count Anywhere. Hardcore. Extreme Rules. Street Fight. Tribal Rules. Pick one and commit to it. Instead, we got a match where the rules just… didn’t matter.
It takes a little bit away from the finish for me, even if most people will give it a pass because it’s WrestleMania. But that’s exactly the problem. The referee shouldn’t be “letting things go” just because it’s the main event.
What’s the point of having rules if they aren’t going to be enforced? You might as well go full old school ECW and make every match no rules. At least then it’s consistent.
Rant over. I’ll go cry in my corner until RAW tomorrow night. 😭

@WrestlingNewsCo Maybe if Ripley turns heel and it’s her vs Iyo. Becky segments are (part of the reason) why I don’t start watching RAW until 8:30 & leave myself some wiggle room to fast forward.

"When we condition the audience with, this person's the main event, this person's the main event, this person's the main event, that we see them as the main event. When we don't condition the audience, then it becomes a little bit harder. And for the last few years, I think we've, for the most part, those main events have gone to two, maybe three, four dudes constantly. I think we need to change that again."

@WrestleCourt Making ya think he’s injured, so obviously Cody would HAVE to “go over.” Working the marks, it’s a swerve bro.
English

@roylucier I think it’d be a different story if fans had to previously sit through a Danhousen’s mom on a polehausen match.

Someone please correct me if this is incorrect. I once heard a story that WWF management had years of plans for the WWF vs WCW "Invasion" storyline, but then the first WCW show happened in Tacoma, WA on July 2nd, 2001, with Booker T vs Buff Bagwell as a WCW match. Apparently, some fans went to the ticket counter and asked for refunds, saying they bought tickets to a WWF event, not WCW. Management heard about this and panicked, and several years of angles were shortened to having the feud end at the end of the year (Survivor Series, to be exact)
My point for mentioning the story is, if that same mentality had existed with Danhausen's debut, he would have been canned and out the door before Mania. But current management and those with a vision stuck with Danhausen and now he's easily one of the best parts of TV every week

BIG MISTAKE, @mikethemiz! Should've taghausen @DanhausenAD 🤷

@DrClownPhD Alright, so the “fart art” is one thing, but what’s up with half the patrons of the art gallery wearing muumuus?

@WrestleFeatures A Danhousen curse played out in real time AND Jelly Roll got RKO’d. 6 stars if it was in the Tokyo Dome.

@MatrixMysteries That’s literally insurance’s business model. Take people’s money and either deny claims or lowball you. How else would it be a trillion dollar industry?
