@paulg @bhalligan Did the same last week to college students near graduation. Their questions were about how to get the best job. They want to belong. Fuck.

I gave a talk about startups to 14 and 15 year olds, and their questions afterward were better than I get at top universities. I puzzled over this, then realized why. Their questions were motivated by genuine curiosity, rather than to make some kind of comment or to seem smart.

When it comes to meetups and networking events bigger is not better. I'd rather meet 6 smart people with common interests/values and get to know them over a 2-hour dinner. I think most people agree. Evidence: the dozens of micro-communities in WhatsApp and Telegram.
