Trump is retaliating against Iran by double closing the Strait of Hormuz. So, now Iran's oil can't get out either. Ok, but what will that do to oil prices? Make them much higher!! And that will hurt our economy very badly. So, ironically, that only INCREASES Iran's leverage.

So the U.S. delegation is already headed home without a deal. Since Trump is unlikely to follow through with his threat to end Iranian civilization, what's our next move? It seems that we are in an even weaker negotiating position now than we were before, and Iran knows it.

@marklevinshow Iran needs to be divided up. When President Biden was a Senator he proposed having a decentralized Iraq by dividing it up. Carve Iran up with the Kurds having their own area . The rest can be independent countries or merge with neighboring countries.

I have all the confidence in the world that @POTUS understands who he’s talking to in Iran and earnestly seeks a diplomatic solution. But it has to be the right deal.   President Trump – better than anyone I know – understands how to deal with the toughest of people.

As I have been saying for the last several days, President Trump is intent on restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. He is deadly serious when it comes to his ultimatum to Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz or face a massive military response against vital infrastructure. It is still my hope Strait of Hormuz can be reopened and the enriched uranium can be secured through diplomacy. That would be the best outcome for the region and the world. To say the window on diplomacy is closing would be an understatement. To Iran, chose wisely and chose quickly.

I just had a great conversation with @POTUS. I totally support his ultimatum to the Iranian regime to open up the Strait of Hormuz and to do a peace deal. A massive military operation awaits Iran if they choose poorly. This regime has been severely crippled through Operation Epic Fury. Their reign of terror against the region and the world needs to come to an end, hopefully through a peace deal. After speaking with President Trump this morning, I am completely convinced that he will use overwhelming military force against the regime if they continue to impede the Strait of Hormuz and refuse a diplomatic solution to achieve our military objectives. If it’s not clear to Iran and others by now that President Trump means what he says then I don’t know when it will ever be. Choose wisely.
