Friends, we’ve had some really bad things happening here the last few days. My beautiful, brave Roxy is with the angels tonight. 💔😢 I fell on Saturday and broke my femur. It’s going to be a very long recovery. My sweet Roxy was attached to me and when I did not return she was not eating. My friends and my husband were trying their best. She took a bad turn and she left us this afternoon to meet all her friends waiting for her 🌈OTRB. She was the bravest dog I’ve ever known and she was so sweet and beautiful. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. We have enjoyed every minute of your friendship. You are the very best of the dog world, and were friends to the end and that means so much. I will be taking a leave for some time but will be back when things here are better. Sending you all so much love. Hug your sweet pups tonight. Beautiful tribute to your friend, Marta. She is still with you. 💕 We loved following your sweet Cookie and Muffin. Tweety was always cantankerous ever before X, and we missed a lot. But now we have been mostly quiet since we lost big sisfur Roxy and mom has been recovering from an accident. Now therapy takes up most of her day because she is determined to get back on her two feet again . Trying to come back on Twix little by little , but after being absent for so long we are not seeing our friends like we use to. We won’t give up because this community is simply the BEST! Friends on here have been holding mom up and have been the bestest friends with the biggest hearts that anyone could ever want. Love all our pals here ! When we first joined Twitter in 2020, we didn’t know anything - or anyone. We did our best to follow as many dog and cat accounts as possible, hoping to make friends and learn from them. We were deeply touched that many welcomed us with open arms and patiently taught us so much. At the same time, we were puzzled and saddened that many didn’t follow us back, as if we weren’t good enough to be their friends. Even more disheartening, many Schnauzer accounts ignored us. It felt like rejection. We wondered what was wrong with us - why they chose not to see us. And then there was Marta. She was one of our very first friends, and the first to show us that we were more than good enough. She sought out every single one of our posts and always replied with admiration and genuine affection. Marta told us she had Schnauzers in her life before, and she absolutely adored Cookie and Muffin. She said her eyes would light up whenever she read our posts. I felt such tremendous love from her, even though we were more than three thousand miles apart and had never met each other in person. Then one night in April 2021, Marta went to sleep and just never woke up. I think of Marta often, and I always will. Her loving heart touched me so deeply. Maybe Cookie and Muffin have found her in heaven?

@2DogsCandies I miss it too. 🥺. Lost my precious Roxy in Nov. ‘25 Still have my Mickie (on time share) but won’t be able to hold her on my lap until my broken leg heals.

Have you ever held your little ones so tightly, brimming with love and wonder? Wrapping them in your arms so completely that you couldn’t help but squeeze just a little harder? And then they answer with that soft, contented groan - a deep, rumbling “rrrrrmmm” right from the back of their throat? Do you know what I mean?
