@Nick_Davidov They 'can't find ideal people'. Too much preferences, expectations, and risks. And they want to find everything out on a 30min call. A simple fixed-pay contract for 1w or 1mo is the only way to break that wall. Or get hired through connections. I don't know other ways.

A lot of (experienced) people I spoke to can’t find jobs. Every founder I spoke to is hiring aggressively but can’t find people. So who’s been hired the most in Q1? Recruiters.

Maybe it’s better not to open the stock market on Monday. Let’s wait a couple of weeks.

Just filed taxes. It feels uneasy knowing where that money is going and how it's going to be spent. Anyone else?

Today, I’m launching a new small SaaS. It allows people to generate revenue by finding clients interested in sponsored articles on Google News sites. We’re reinventing affiliate marketing. Not by pushing random products. But by selling real visibility. Branding. SEO power. LLM exposure. Everyone wants distribution. Very few control it. This SaaS connects the dots. And yes… it’s always fun launching this kind of project. All of this thanks to…

Perfect figma file → developer builds it exactly → product ships → users confused What happened? Nobody asked if users would understand it. Design reviews focus on "does this look good?" Wrong question. Right question: "will users know what to do?" Looks come last. clarity comes first.

People who know nothing about VC, think it's very hard to succeed in VC. People who know a little about VC, think it's very easy to succeed in VC. People who know a lot about VC, think it's very hard to succeed in VC.

@darylginn In US, do companies/recruiters value designers with coding skills (SwiftUI, React, Flutter etc.) and how does it impact hiring in reality?

They can’t filter out skilled people properly. America needs skilled immigration for sure, but it gets also non-skilled (maybe 90%+ of them). Plus, the US companies will cover all additional taxes for the most top skilled anyway (+$100K easy or work from abroad) what means US market won’t lose those smart guys.

we've been told DHS will crack down on illegal immigration, but there are *fewer* deportations under current administration than during Obama years. Instead we've got a crack down on H1B and O1, and a freeze on immigrant visas from 74 countries. Come on, skilled immigration is what built this country.

My 8 year old and I tried a challenge where you can only watch reels/shorts while standing in a plank. Unexpected outcome - all reels suddenly become MUCH less interesting and funny.
