A lot of creators are saying, "Framer owe us nothing." I don't completely agree. Yes, Framer doesn't owe us guaranteed income. It's their platform and they can change the rules whenever they want. But let's not pretend creators played no role in getting Framer where it is today. For years, template creators were doing more than just making templates. We were creating tutorials, posting on X, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, sharing builds, showcasing Framer's capabilities, and bringing thousands of new users onto the platform. Every high-quality template made it easier for someone to launch a startup, agency, portfolio, or business on Framer. The marketplace became one of the biggest reasons people chose Framer over alternatives. The creator ecosystem wasn't just benefiting from Framer. Framer was benefiting from creators too. When creator payouts are reportedly crossing $1M+ every month, maybe the economics started looking too expensive from Framer's side. Maybe they wanted a bigger share. Maybe they wanted more control over growth. That's a business decision. But what frustrates creators is seeing years of effort, audience building, and marketplace momentum suddenly become less valuable overnight. Both things can be true: Framer helped creators make money. Creators helped Framer become what it is. This wasn't a one-sided relationship. So no, I don't think creators should act entitled. But I also don't think we should pretend the marketplace was built by Framer alone. Thousands of creators spent years creating products, content, and awareness that helped make Framer the platform it is today. @framer @aandreug @jornvandijk

Fake comments and likes on @framer marketplace? It already started 😅 What a coincidence that both templates in the top 3 have comments from the exact same people in the same time 😅

I’ll never use agents to create entire pages. I’ve seen some AI-generated pages already and there are definitely recurring patterns. Generated pages tend to look quite similar. On the other hand agents will definitely speed up my workflow and save me a ton of time on repetitive tasks.

Agree. Season 2 was definitely a pain point. Personally, I expected the review process to be improved, automated or at least partially powered by AI rather than removed entirely. That said, I’m not the type to complain about it. It’s the new reality now and it’s time to figure out how the marketplace will evolve. I have a few theories about how things might play out, but it’s probably still too early to say them out loud.

100% dude. I started webdesign and Framer back in october, and nothing has taught me more than the review process. And also, since the beginning of Framer Challenge season 2, nothing has frustrated me more than people on X spamming @aandreug regarding the review process. Of course that shit takes time when everyone wants a piece of the cake. I’m truly grateful for everything that process has taught me, and now we’ll just have to see what happens without it.

This might be controversial, but I actually enjoyed the @framer review process. Nothing taught me more than having templates rejected. It was honest feedback from people with more experience, and I’ll definitely miss that aspect. Now it’s time to adapt to the new reality and figure out how to stand out among an even bigger crowd of templates. I’ll get there. Let’s see what the future brings. Let’s rock. 🤘

@Marki_Tweet @framer Exactly! After all I’m thankful that I started creating templates while there was still a review process. Now I’ll use everything I’ve learned from those rejections to create even better templates!

@jbcode_it @framer I feel the same. I didn’t start building Framer templates after a month of web design experience. I was already an experienced designer. Yet the review process still taught me things I hadn’t considered before, especially coming from a design rather than development background.

honestly, i didn’t expect framer to make a move that makes the very community they built with their own hands feel this undervalued. one of the biggest reasons framer stood out was its obsession with quality. that’s what made the template marketplace feel different. now it feels like creator work is being pushed into noise. template creators deserve better. #SaveTemplateCreators
Awards for Framer@templateaward

#SaveTemplateCreators more templates doesn’t mean a better marketplace. without discovery, trust and curation, great creators get buried. template creators deserve to be heard. comment your thoughts below. repost to support creators.

@aandreug @evrenkarsit Maybe controversial, but I actually enjoyed the review process. Nothing taught me more than rejected templates and the honest feedback behind them. But it's time to adapt and figure out how to stand out in the new reality of 3.0! 😃

We understand where you’re coming from. Quality is one of the reasons the Framer community became what it is today, and that’s not something we’re walking away from. This change isn’t about undervaluing creators or accepting lower standards. It’s about making it easier to participate while finding new ways to surface the best work. If you see copied templates, spam, or content that violates our guidelines, please report it. We’d rather address those cases directly than add friction for every creator. And as always, we'll keep listening and iterating as the Marketplace evolves. So send feedback our way!

@ItsPeterDesign @framer It was the best feeling when a template got accepted. I’ll miss that feeling.

What I don’t like about @Framer 3.0 at the moment is that they removed the Template Review process. It gives an unprofessional feeling. It feels like it’s enough to just create my template and post the Remix link on Twitter/X. Other than that, I love everything.

What are your feelings with the new @framer updates? I'm pretty scared that now there will not be filters anymore in publishing templates...
