Soms verlekker ek my in retrospeksie. Dan lees ek liberale wroegings van linkse Afrikaners wat nie meer met ons is nie, so met die draai van die sg. demokrasie - konstitusioneel nogal, kwansuis die beste in die wêreld - moerse reënboogbetotteld.
Chris Louw, of Boetman wat tereg die bliksem in was, was 'n RSG-verslaggewer met geldige kritiek op die walglike verstaatliking en die gure karakters wat dit opgelewer het. Die probleem was, dat hy die antwoord op sy ontnugtering aan die linkerkant van die politieke spektrum gaan soek het. Vandag weet ons van beter. Net jammer dat hy na sy selfmoord hierdie insig ontsê is.
