@fuzzymittens Agree!!!! If people want it in the Pyxis for infusion mixing purposes then it should be in a controlled slot. Not in a drawer that you can just open and pull from without pre-selecting the medication

A busy life is not a symbol of status. It's a symptom of trying to do too much for too many people.
A full calendar brings a surplus of stress and a shortage of energy. Reflecting and relaxing should be top priorities.
Unscheduled time isn't wasted. It's invested in well-being.

The “accommodation” includes the additional expense of having to transport ourselves (and our toddler) from the new arrival airport that is in a city hours away from our original arrival airport. We would appreciate thoughts and prayers during this difficult time @AmericanAir

30 infants die and we recall 4.7 mil Rock ‘n Play Sleepers. 2 toddlers die and we recall 3.2 mil Calico Critters toys. 2 infants die and we recall so much formula that the US goes into shortage. Last year, over 6,000 children were injured by gun violence. Nothing. Nada.

Today I saw that a former chief financial officer and prior private equity player was elevated to CEO of a large hospital system.
While I don’t know this individual at all I’m concerned this is not the background we want leading medicine

@jtrebach I give kids my stethoscope so they can play with it and become familiar with it. Then I let them listen to my heart or lungs before I listen to theirs.

a trick i always share with med students in the ER who are about to examine a scared child:
"examine" the parent first! I find kids are way more comfortable after I "listen" to dad's heart or look in mom's ears to show them that I am not a threat and that they are safe ☺️
