~1 in 1,000,000 chance a random mid-1980s Western youth attended a Czechoslovak volunteer work camp. ~1 in 5,000,000 chance a random Brit ever becomes PM. Joint probability for both: ~1 in 5,000,000,000,000. This is like buying 1 ticket each time and winning the Powerball jackpot about 17,000 times in a row.

We literally have zero context about what his meeting with Axelrod was about, but yall are so fear driven it’s immediately a “Marxist conspiracy”. Yall are the very reason the pope said “maybe we don’t need to fear Muslims” Just admit you are pissed that Trump was challenged by the leader of the world’s largest Christian faith and took it personally

I have been pretty emphatic the last few days in condemning Pope Leo’s foray into American politics. My detractors are having fun stating that I am doing this out of allegiance to President Trump and that I have chosen Trump over God. WRONG. The biggest reason by far why I am so vocal on this is the damage Pope Leo is doing to the Catholic Church in the USA. I believe Pope Leo has done more to harm US Catholicism in just a few days than any other Pope of the past 100 years (even Francis). Pope Leo is literally causing orthodox, faithful American Catholics to flee the Church out of disgust over his leftwing politicization and his kowtowing to Islam. Moreover, he has opened the door for boundless criticism against Catholicism from certain Protestant denominations and churches, causing untold harm to Christian ecumenism in the USA. It is precisely because I care so much about the Church that Jesus founded in AD 33 that I oppose the havoc Pope Leo has unleashed in the US Church. (And yes, under Church doctrine and as a Catholic, I am fully entitled to hold such beliefs and express them.)

@krustchef28091 @jabberwock951 Believe what you want to believe. Countries without potable tap water are beating us at frontline medical care. Leaving it to the market is madness. The market is using medicine to hold us hostage in perpetuity.

I'm not gonna lie, it is frustrating when you ask a patient what's wrong and they just give you a diagnosis. Like "I have a chest infection". OK, you're probably right but I need to know your symptoms to see if I agree with that diagnosis. I can't just take your word for it.

You can’t go in being like “I’m having migraines and I’ve seen that the first line medication intervention for migraines is triptans so I’d like to try that”, many drs won’t LIKE THAT. You have to go “oh nooo my heeeaddd hurtttsss what do i dooo”

@krustchef28091 @HeathVeuleman @DutchRojas Have fun storming the castle. As long as the federal govt is funding 40%+ of US healthcare spending, and the wealthy states continue to subsidize the poor ones - the mandates will continue.

Today, take a hard look at your tax bill. ~$1.9 trillion of federal spending now goes to healthcare. That’s ~27% of total spending. But the number that actually matters is that it’s ~39% of all federal revenue. Before you pay a single premium, nearly 40 cents of every dollar the government collects is already committed to healthcare. But wait - there’s more: ~67% of Americans have private insurance (most through employer-sponsored plans) And you still pay ~$1,500/year (single) or ~$6,000+/year (family). Note that is before deductibles. Before copays. Before coinsurance. So let’s summarize: You’re taxed for healthcare. You pay premiums for healthcare. You pay out-of-pocket for healthcare. And you still can’t access or afford healthcare. And here’s the part no one wants to say - the system is working exactly as designed! The only two groups that can force real change are the consumer and the physician. And both are paralyzed. Patients have been conditioned to believe there are no alternatives. Physicians have been absorbed into systems they don’t control. Until one of those groups moves, nothing changes. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

@thematrixb0t No. That’s the genius of the system. This overcomes the 103 widow who received everything she paid into the system at age 78. It’s a feature not a bug.

This American woman lost both of her parents and went through their Social Security records. They paid in for decades — nearly $1,000,000 combined. Her dad died before collecting a cent. Her mom only received about $32,000 a year, for four years. That’s not a safety net but a scam.

@thematrixb0t No one pays that much. He earned that much, but didn't pay that much. I've shown dozens how little they paid. They forget that the percentage paid changes & when they started working, it was lower. Plus there's a cap. Beyond that amount each year, you don't pay any more.

He would have had to earn over $4 million in income subject to SS taxes. OMG, he must have saved at least a million dollars and Invested wisely have double that. He would have $2 million in an IRA or similar. The interest from that compounding would be More than most Americans ever experience. POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL!

@Metalosopher @thematrixb0t Specifically... In 2025, the maximum amount of earnings subject to Social Security tax is $176,100. The Social Security tax rate is 6.2% for both employers and employees. Hence, if you make over $176K, you pay $10,912 and your employer pays $10,912.

Did you say live long past 65, when do you think you start collecting? Of course they exaggerated about the million dollars, but I'm certain that they paid in More than $32,000. The question remains, why isn't there a survivor clause for children to collect a percentage.? And why don't they allow more than $255 for burial. Burial allowance should be at least a year of benefits, since they won't pay any more after Death.? The average plain funeral is $10,000 +, depending on location. Why not give some dignity in Death.?

@thematrixb0t This is a lie. There is a cap on SS tax that grows every year. Today max is $10,000 per year. 30 years ago less than $1000. Over 30 years of work the max one can have played in is about $100,000, nowhere near a million. Most people live long past 65. This post is

The Pope has capitulated, believers did not. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called [leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. - Matthew 23:9-10 NASB 1995

Pope Leo XIV has signed the Golden Book at the Great Mosque of Algiers — a historic first, marking the first time a pope has ever signed this book inside an Algerian mosque. This gesture symbolizes interfaith dialogue, with the Pope writing a message of peace in both Arabic and French.

I feel so sad for Pope Leo - he got used by Democrats. It will take a long time for him to regain his respect. I am mad at Obama and his cronies for playing politics with Catholic Church.
