Friend moved to Bangalore and was looking for a flat. He found one for ₹40,000 a month. The owner is asking for a 6-month security deposit, which comes to ₹2.4 lakh, plus ₹40,000 in brokerage. Can someone explain the logic behind a 6-month deposit? I haven't seen this as a normal practice in any other major city. And in many cases, landlords don't even return the full deposit at the end. Bangalore's rental market looks too hyped.

Has our government literally given up on electric vehicles? Why is no one talking about them anymore? It seems to be ethanol, ethanol everywhere these days. Does this mean India has shifted its focus away from EVs and charging infrastructure? We hardly hear anyone in the government talking about EVs anymore!

Instead of buying a refrigerator online, I purchased it from a nearby store to support local business. After adding the 3% card swipe charge, the final price became almost equal to online platforms. Difference is: Online gives cashback, EMI, exchange offers, doorstep delivery and no drama. Offline gives attitude, hidden charges and “card pe extra lagega.” Then offline retailers cry that e-commerce is killing them. No sir, customers are leaving because many local stores still behave like it’s 2009.

@talk2anuradha @narendramodi ji seems to be taking the ethanol issue very likely. Almost 65-70 crores PPL are affected by this. This can be the undoing of his govt. This issue is being handled very reckless by his ministers.

Total petrol car users: ~5 crore Totak petrol bike + scooty users: ~26 crore So many people are affected by the E20 mandate. Yet the opposition has not taken up this issue. Why?

@imjudekim Very normal when indexing. I’ve had sometimes it take up to 18 hours. Mine is currently still going roughly 12 hours later. As far as the waitlist for Siri, it took mine no more than 15 minutes when I downloaded the beta, which was immediately upon it going live.

no way it takes this long on an iPhone 17 Pro with charger connected. its been like 9 hours
