@zackgilbert Keeps getting better and better. Used Fly for a small project a while back, never stuck for some reason. Render feels like Heroku 2.0 but way more sensible in a lot of ways.

A possible new version of @calmfund I'm seriously considering: i meet with cool calm companies who want to raise funding (or maybe sell?), do our standard diligence, write up a memo through our thesis/lens, and just share it with a newsletter. We don't set a valuation or invest ourselves. Just analyze the opportunity and promote it. What I like about it: - I get to say "Yes" to every company/founder I'm excited to work with. - Can help with a much wider array of opportunities than just our previous early stage thesis: pre-seed, seed, growth, debt, secondary, exit... whatever is interesting - faster feedback loop: if founders close the deal they're seeking, that's job done. No more waiting 10 years to see if we did a good job. Big question: I think the only business model I would consider for this is a subscription fee for the folks receiving the opportunities. Wonder if there's enough demand for that in this environment where many people are pulling back their angel investing. What do you think?

@DGlaucomflecken if you ever want another insurance company to troll for funsies, @BCBST sent us a stack of whiney letters about how they tried so, so hard to keep our doctors/hospital in network but the meanies over there just wouldn't play nice, so we can get fucked after 7/1.

@FedExHelp is there a way to submit a correction to your GPS? Your trucks *constantly* deliver to my neighbor’s house *on the wrong street* — almost every single time. I’ve reached out multiple times to no avail. Please fix it.
