Bryson really fought HARD to keep his Round 1 from spiraling out of control today and made a bunch of tough par saves throughout the round. It paid off for him in the end with the birdies coming at the end for a 67 and a share of the lead! Great round!

@awfulannouncing Would anyone pay even 5 cents a month for most of Disney’s channels? Too bad there can’t be a deal for YTTV to carry nothing but live games.

@ClayTravis Having the NBA League Pass on YouTube TV was nice. It’s not as convenient to have it on Amazon. YouTube TV is easy to use. Hopefully there’s a deal with ESPN. I wouldn’t pay one cent a month for Disney’s non-sports channels.

Class 2A Boylan Sectional: Richmond-Burton leads Montini 14-10 in the third set. Dani Hopp (14 kills) has been on a tear. She has the last three points. Timeout Broncos.

Interesting dynamic in the YouTube-ESPN battle. I bet 90% of complaints are coming from SEC fans. ESPN pays $300 million a year for SEC. Why wouldn’t YouTube just offer $500 million a year for SEC rights & ditch ESPN? One NFL game a week, 1/3rd of NBA, would anyone miss ESPN?

@AlanShipnuck @Skratch Great article, but I was expecting a shot at 2010 captain Corey Pavin. Didn’t the US team have to buy rain gear in the pro shop? In your opinion, who has been the worst US captain of the 21st century?

Don’t get distracted by the Team USA’s rally in singles - they have now lost 9 of the last 12 Ryder Cups, including three at home. How did we get here, and does the U.S. have the will to make the necessary changes? Put a lot into this one for @Skratch. skratch.golf/news/pro-golf/…

@AdamWilday @ClayTravis Yes, it feels like you can watch an entire baseball game in about 10 minutes. And why watch SportsCenter when you can watch highlights on YouTube, or MLB Network, with the audio from the game announcers?

@ClayTravis Gotta mention YouTube. I don’t gamble so if it isn’t 2 teams I follow I have zero incentive to see it live; 12-15min hi lite reels on the Brave browser (ZERO ads) scratch my sports itch. Bristol is doomed.

ESPN has lost 40 million cable subscribers in the past decade, that’s $10 billion a year in lost revenue. The Hail Mary solution? A new $29.99 a month streaming @espn. But is there a market for it? Nope. A deep dive on the collapse of cable sports & ESPN: outkick.com/sports/what-ta…

Some final Masters thoughts. 1. Five is so many. Adam Scott, JT and Scottie combined. It's so, so many. Only 14 players since WW2 have won five or more. Tying Brooks and Seve with the best golf of your life, and now, improbably, Palmer is back in play.
