The prime minister of India must not use an address to the nation to make a partisan speech (about a failed bill), especially when elections are underway in some states.
That is a clear abuse of his position as the prime minister.

Masterstroke bias.
People will now desperately try and work backwards to identify some logic in Modi's defeat in delimitation.
Short answer: there is none.
Even the clubbing with women's reservation means little electorally. There is no data or for that matter reporting to show women's reservation is an electoral issue. If it were, it would have been implemented some time back.

This is a naked attempt to end free speech entirely in India. The government seeks to curtail our fundamental right as citizens of this great nation to write & disseminate "socio-political, economic or cultural" material. If they prevail, our democratic experiment will be over.

She spent FIVE days at TWO Mumbai railway stations (CST & LTT) tracking THREE long-distance trains & spoke to 130 migrant workers boarding them.
Nearly half said they were leaving for one reason: no gas cylinder, no way to cook, eating out too expensive.
Their workplaces were running. But without a way to feed themselves, staying made no sense.

Scenes of heartbreaking devastation from so many states last few days - Punjab, Himachal, Kashmir, Uttarakhand.
