People are pissed that #TheMandalorianAndGrogu is a small scale personal story rather than an Empire, Death Star, end of the galaxy story. Ehh that has been done so many times, I enjoyed the change of pace here.

@spencer_askew Dude! I was underwhelmed by FORCE. I was intrigued by JEDI because it was so different. SKYWALKER gave me PTSD by just how much it rubbed me the wrong way. That dagger is just one of 1000 shards of glass that had me pulling my hair out.

Everyone talks about reproductive freedom, or bodily autonomy for women. As a woman I simply cannot understand how any woman becomes pregnant with an unwanted child. Birth control comes in many different forms, it can be obtained from just about any women’s clinic in the country. I understand that there are exceptions, but, if you are going to be sexually active and don’t want to get pregnant do something about it.

Humor me for a second… Two of the most devastating Supreme Court decisions of my lifetime: Dobbs and Callais. One stripped away bodily autonomy from women. The other gutted voting rights and diminished the political power of Black voters. Now compare the reaction across the Democratic ecosystem after each ruling: the activism on the ground and online, the focus from talking heads and party leaders, the resources mobilized to blunt the impact and organize people into action. The level of urgency has not been the same or even similar. And for many of us, that lack of urgency has been painful to watch.

@DoniTheMisfit Best of luck working it out with Amazon. When it comes to refurbs, I’m too gun-shy to go with anyone that’s not the original manufacturer (eg. Dell). If I can’t work that, it’s gotta be a place I can walk into and talk face-to-face.

I learned a hard lesson to never order a laptop from Amazon again or third party sellers on those kind of platforms.

A friend of ours was casting a movie. Some actress didn't show up on time for the zoom call, she thought it was another day. He politely said she missed the deadline. She then went off on him about her doing HIM a favor by auditioning! The Hollywood arrogance is overwhelming.

The Mandalorian and Grogu was good. It felt like a condensed “good parts” version of what would have been season 4 but after Rise of Skywalker I'll take it. Way better than season 3.
