I am a son of a mother who studied dietetics in New York, who taught me that our bodies are a temple to serve Allah by being good to others. My father, a career diplomat and a product of Ahmadu Bello University where he participated in extracurricular activities such as basketball always had time for the family and was my basketball coach since I was a toddler.
My dearest Bappa and Mommy, through your quiet sacrifices, you taught me that true leadership is rooted in integrity and that the greatest legacy one can leave is the service of others. I am the the product of your prayers and a reflection of the values you instilled in me from the very beginning.
As you celebrate the 49th anniversary of your blessed union, I thank you for being my first teachers and my lifelong inspiration.
