Gold in the Motor Sports Category at the World Sports Photography Awards 2026. 🥇 A proud moment for me, my country Kenya 🇰🇪and the Safari Rally. When the Safari Rally returned to the WRC circuit in 2021, I was one of a handful of Kenyan photographers accredited to shoot at the rally. I have been privileged to shoot at every WRC Safari Rally Kenya ever since, making the 2025 edition my fifth in a row. This winning image was captured during Shakedown at Sleeping Warrior. Unlike regular rally stages that are run once before the cars dash on to the next stage, at Shakedown, the drivers run the stage three to four times. These back-to-back runs give us the photographers a chance to change our shooting positions and settings, with the goal of capturing the best shots. I almost always shoot in AV mode which didn't change on the different runs. What changed was my shooting position, from a jump to this one which is where I captured my favourite images from the rally and this winning shot. The dust Grégoire Munster and Louis Louka in their Ford Puma Rally1 are kicking up is called fesh fesh. It is almost watery in nature yet very dry, hence the splashy look it produces in photos. The Chairman ,CPA Prof @ElizabethK38467 Kalunda led the Institute in a consultative discussion with the PS State Department for Devolution, Mr. Michael Lenasalon. The discussions centred around strengthening devolution in Kenya through collaboration, strategic partnerships, technical support, review of devolution related policies and laws, capacity building and placement of accountants centrally in county financial management. Today, ICPAK officially launched Edition II of the AML/CFT/CPF Guidelines for Accountants in Kenya, a major milestone in strengthening Kenya’s financial integrity framework. The updated guidelines reaffirm ICPAK’s commitment to empowering accountants to play a central role in detecting and preventing money laundering, terrorism financing, and proliferation financing. #ICPAKAMLLaunch @olivegitau @HillaryOnami @wakhisi ^CA

On 15th October 2025, ICPAK delegation led by Chairman, CPA Prof. @ElizabethK38467, and North-Rift Branch Chairman, CPA Leonard Kibet, paid a courtesy visit to the County Government of Turkana. The delegation was received by Deputy Governor, Dr. John Erus. The meeting was attended by Council Member & Devolution Sub-Committee Convenor CPA @olivegitau, members of the Branch Executive Committee, who included Secretary & CPD Convenor CPA Kore Nelson, Turkana County Representative CPA Julius Lokopu, Senior leadership from County Executive, ICPAK members serving in the County and representatives from ICPAK Secretariat. Discussions focused on potential collaboration to strengthen public financial management and support the transition to accrual accounting through capacity building and technical assistance. To anchor continued engagement, both parties agreed to formalize their partnership through an MoU. ^CA

On 15th October 2025, ICPAK led by Chairman, CPA Prof. @ElizabethK38467 Kalunda, and North-Rift Branch Chairman, CPA Leonard Kibet, held a mentorship session at Turkana University College. The team was received by the Principal, Prof. George Chemining'wa. Over 200 students from the School of Business, together with faculty members including Dr. Collins Obura, CPA Jared Okello, CPA Geoffrey Ombongi, and CPA Jackson Samal, participated in the session. The sessions focused on inspiring students to pursue the CPA course, exploring the future of the accounting profession, and equipping them with life and career skills.
