Meanwhile what the other guy did affects everyone and nobody says a word. Now we have record labels interfering with the integrity of the art and refusing to release the music unless artists compromise and acquiesce to their demands. In other words, censorship. He also tried to censor Kendrick’s Super Bowl performance by threatening the NFL through legal action to not allow Kendrick to perform “Not Like Us.” If that lawsuit were to succeed ain’t no telling the kind of precedent that could set, and the threat it could represent to artistic freedom and expression in hip-hop. Thankfully, Jay-Z/Roc Nation always have the best interest of the culture at heart.
