Yesterday I accepted a job for a year one maternity cover in a class named ‘tigers’. Last night I also went into my draw for something to lean on and found a planner that @primaryedgrace gave me as a graduation present - if this isn’t a sign it is as meant to be idk what is🐯

staying on another year at my school in year 2 and I’m getting my old class back from when I was with them in year 1 for a term 🥲❤️ can’t wait!!

@claudsclassroom Hey I don’t know! Depends how the schools are doing it :) we fit explicit phonics teaching into every subject (minus maths) and the children loved it! With fast track and interventions too! However, if it’s instead of foundation subjects I don’t agree wholeheartedly on that

I’m now a primary RQT in Year 2! I moved into my new class on Monday and I’m there until September 😊 just down the corridor from my old class and finding the transition hard (subject knowledge wise and emotionally tbh) would love to know some more yr2 accounts to follow 🙂

What a week! Had 3 new children in my class since last Thursday and a 4th start on Monday! Ngl it’s been a bit manic 🙈so I’m happy my class is a full 30 now

Goose update: hes grown so much in 2 and a half weeks it’s SCARY!! - juggling him and work can be tough but he’s worth it 💛

On Thursday we gained a new family member, a ljttle goldie called Goose. Welcome home bud 💙

@primaryedgeo Lots of chanting aloud of stem sentences so that they become familiar with using the mathematical language - eg. 2 is a part, 3 is a part, 5 is the whole☺️

doing part-part-whole in addition and subtraction with my year ones the next few weeks (we do mastery one which is FANTASTIC and shows lots of representations of this concept) but any other resources / advice welcome please 😊

Invested in some LED strips so I can still enjoy my lovely dressing table in winter ... and I no longer have to get ready in the dark, which is a bonus, because my boyfriend doesn’t have to get up at silly o’clock like I do🤪 I actually know what I look like leaving the house now
