Jains and Parsis literally, in every sense of the term, BUILT Mumbai. They’re entitled to FAR more than a name on a train station shingle.

When I moved into my South Mumbai apartment last October,I took the number of the neighboring grocery shops from friends and ordered a few basic supplies. I was shocked to learn that none of the grocery stores in Malabar Hill stock eggs! (that's what the three stores in the vicinity informed me). And I badly needed this basic protein source coz of my deteriorating knee health. I asked one store if they could procure these for me and send these with other items and they flatly refused* That's when I first started using Blinkit. Now I order all my groceries, fruits and vegetables from Blinkit or Big Basket. Also these apps are a life saver when you are a single working woman with no full-time help to run errands for you when you return from the office, tired and hungry. Stores that complain about these apps eating into their business need to first learn to fulfill requirements of ALL their customers. (*I have a solid relationship with two stores back in my Delhi neighborhood, only because at least one of the owners is kind enough to procure whatever item he doesn't have in stock, for me,from a neighboring store. That's how you retain a loyal customer).

@abhishek @prasadvedpathak white line is for scientific logical reason, it cools down the path that's all. It's not a religious thing it is nowhere mentioned in any jain scriptures. Come out of your delusion

Fadnavis govt has renamed Kings Circle station to Tirthankar Parshwanath station. He didn't find it useful to rename it after Marathi icons. Their love for Marathi asmita is fake like GDP numbers.

Jains live across India. Jains follow their religious traditions across India. Yet, only a small hateful section of people in Mumbai (certainly not all Maharashtrians) seems to have a problem with them. A simple white strip is being branded as "jihad." When a community that has peacefully coexisted for centuries becomes a target of ridicule and misinformation, the issue is not religion - the issue is intolerance. Most Maharashtrians are welcoming and respectful. The problem is with a few individuals who are spreading negativity and hatred for political or social attention.
