This week, I applied for a role on @liquidtrading I didn't feel fully ready yet but after analyzing the people who got the role I felt I deserved it too. I especially counted on my recent seven minute video because I put in as much effort as all my other content combined Turns out I was right to be hesitant; the vote ended in a 4 ✅4 ❌tie and I didn't get the role. I hate ties in every field😂 Ofc it's not a problem because I'm here and I will keep going anyway💯 I'm not perfect, just trying to be my best self. Feedback, processes, trainings, goals and much more. Unfortunately life doesn't always go perfectly; we must talk about the bad as much as the good Every system can be improved. Unlike many projects Liquid has a transparent role system. You build a portfolio, apply and see the votes in a public channel (votes are anonymous). Those who vote hold the Parliament role. This role means "trusted people in key decisions," so it's very valuable Parliament members are deeply committed to Liquid and master the entire process. I respect them all. Some feedback for @alexships and community: there is an issue here. You don't need to be an educator, designer or trader to get the Parliament role. This means the person judging if you are good enough as an educator might have never created educator content, maybe not even for Liquid, because content creation is not a requirement for that role. Someone who has never created content or creates worse content than mine can reject me. Fine, but why? Idk what exactly is being measured because many role holders were surprised and asked why I didn't get it lol. That is another issue. If you are not accepted for the Parliament vote, you get feedback. But if you join the vote and get rejected, you get nothing. You don't have to be perfect for votes, as some portfolios get 0 yes and 10 no. Naturally, there is a need for feedback. Btw I never use AI to write my content, only for translations. I'm ready to bet on this. You can run any of my content through any AI detector and analyze it together with me. I write my posts in Turkish first (recorded, just like I'm writing and recording this one right now). Any Turkish speaker can vouch that these are original; just ask for the screenshots. I can even create a "high quality" piece live on any topic you choose. I'm saying this because some(random) people have not used their brains in so long that they claim "I think there is AI in your content." Mate if I used AI, you would have to scroll for 10 minutes, so don't push your luck😂Pls be a human and research my content first. Slander is worse than an insult. Moving on👇 I'm not active on Discord chat but I always have an active ticket and give regular feedback. For example, I reported a bug to the dev team and have been waiting for a reply for 6 days. I think I found something significant because usually, issues are solved in 15 minutes. If I didn't want to contribute, I would not bother. I'm trying to show my good intentions. Lastly, I have to wait a week to reapply and two weeks just to be voted on. Honestly this feels really bad. Please check the quoted content. This system was made to prevent these kinds of debates but some issues should not be ignored. Like I said at the beginning, every system can be improved Just saying.
