@RaphaelHarris9 @MrHarryCole Yeah...well except that Pearl Harbour came BEFORE they were at war, and the Bombs were dropped during the war. See the difference ?

@Osint613 @AZ_Intel_ Although if 20 percent of world's oil passes through Hormuz, and producers elsewhere are upping production to take advantage of demand gap, its hard to see how it gets to 180.

Saudi Arabia’s oil officials say prices could soar past $180 a barrel if war-related disruptions persist until late April, potentially pushing consumers into habits that slash their oil use. - WSJ Contributed by @AZ_Intel_.

@Oceanbreeze473 Yes indeed. In the uproar the fact is forgotten that the US has destroyed Iran's nuclear and missile production. The crocodile has no teeth.

Here’s the reality no one wants to say: The objective is simple: stop Iran from ever having the ability to wage war with ballistic missiles, drones, or nuclear weapons. Iran has already pushed its nuclear program to the point where enriched material could be ramped up quickly. Waiting only makes that threat harder to contain. Diplomacy was attempted. Iran expanded its program anyway. At some point, deterrence isn’t words—it’s action. The goal isn’t endless war, it’s preventing a far more dangerous one later.

@TrentTelenko And they forgot the golden rule of prediction. When there are too many variables, such as how long this war goes on, what happens if regime falls, precise prediction sounds silly.

Our military has "war gamed" a war with Iran, repeatedly. We've lost every time. Which is why no President has ever been foolish enough to even try.

@TrentTelenko Er...you realise Europeans use oil and gas, yes? And price goes up if the Strait is blocked? And Europeans really, really don't want rising energy prices. They feel they can't stress that to you enough.

The failure of European nations to defend the Strait of Hormuz was costing it too many arms deals with the Gulf Arabs in the short term. In the longer term, they just realized their actions endangered further US participation in NATO with the American people.

They did exactly what they should have. Many uninformed takes claimed the U.S. would just roll over NATO, when in fact they have a larger land army than the U.S. and specialize in Arctic warfare. It is appalling and shameful we put them through this.

1/ Denmark was reportedly preparing for full-scale war with the US over Greenland in January, with military support from France, Germany, and Nordic nations. Elite troops and F-35 jets with live ammunition were sent, and runways were to be blown up to prevent an invasion. ⬇️

@joelpollak Plus whatever you think of him he clearly does think strategically. Greenland and Venezuela were about opposing China in the Americas, Iran bombing is part of same strategy. You may or may like it, but it seems silly not to acknowledge.
