discourse aside, the major good thing to come out of these adaptations is that the mainstream audience doesn’t see superman as boring anymore. that was the main hurdle for getting ANY superman content in the future and he passed

These two Superman adaptations have pretty similar positives and negatives. Both capture the wonder, romance and warmth of Superman while doing some questionable stuff with the lore and being afraid of faithfully adapting his comics
