this doesn't really work with Snyder Superman because the lesson of Man of Steel is that it's okay for Superman to cause catastrophic damage and mostly ignore civilian casualities as long as he beats the bad guy

The romantic plot between Peter and MJ isn't just in the first movie. The second movie is a consequence of the first one's ending. But Snyder isn't allowed to continue a plot point
